Spurrier announced tonight that Connor Shaw is starting this weekend over Stephen Garcia. I wanted to hear y'alls reaction/take on it because it's just a bunch of us USC homers on the Gamecock boards.
Do y'all think Garcia is good or not? May see y'all in the SECCG, and based on what y'all are going through I wanted to ask about trusting your second stringer.

I think it's just your coach making a point to Garcia , aginst a real team the starters will switch. And yes the troubled one is good!!!

garcia is schizophrenic. At times he looked great, at other times he looked like he was still a frehman. I'lldefer to Spurrier's judgment on who gives yall the best chance to win, but I would think its not a good sign when a three years starter (is that right?) who led yall to yalls only SEC title game gets benched his senior year.
However spurrier benched Senior Quarterback named terry? Tony? Dean in favor of some underclassmen named weurfell and that worked out, so who knows?

Spurrier will start Connor against ECU, but he never would against FL or GA. That should tell you all you need to know.
Garcia can make a bunch of different throws most QB's in the SEC can't, and that statement applies to previous years as well, not just this one. But, the statement also is contingent upon the goofy bastard not being shitfaced.

Thanks to the rest of you for not being smartasses about a four hour old news story. Sorry to the rest that I don't come straight to an LSU message board after learning news like this. I have been on our sites for obvious reasons and was tired of biased opinions.
