Another Bama RB injury & they replaced him with a WR & a LB. Trouble ahead?

RB Roydell Williams left the New Mexico game in the 2Q with a leg injury that Saban called “significant” & Williams is “probably out for a good while.”
In his place, Bama used freshman WR Christian Leary & sophomore LB Demouy Kennedy.
How does Bama’s lack of RB depth due to injuries affect their remaining games & the SECCG?

Rob and Trey right now, can't afford another loss. Roydell is huge, his touches were about to be significant.

Hope they can't block well Saturday.

We relied extremely heavily on Brian Robinson before Roydell got hurt (though Roydell was getting more and more carries), but obviously it costs us depth. Trey Sanders is the only other true running back left, but he has been used sparingly this year as he continues to come back from his car accident injuries. So I expect Robinson to continue to get the great majority of the carries, but Sanders should see increased action.

Well, when you're playing a LB and WR at RB, it ain't good.

May have to plug Milroe in at RB if someone else goes down.

Young will just have to throw a few more TD's.

No worries, we haven't blocked well all year.

Not sure what you're seeing but every time Trey Sanders comes into the game he's moving the ball. A completely different style. Very patient and smooth. He sees an opening and he's upfield. Just not getting the touches. That will change.

Will Anderson at RB, playing both ways

Trey Sanders has the potential to be an elite running back. I've read that he can't block very well though and if you can't block you don't see the field much under Saban. Hopefully his blocking will improve.

Where did I say that Trey Sanders wasn't playing well when he plays? I just said he has been used sparingly.

May also see more jet sweeps now.

Sanders hasn’t gotten the touches because he’s coming off a very bad injury himself. He’s been on a pitch count.
Camar Wheaton has obviously been out all year with an injury as well.
Never seen a position group take this many hits. It’s worse than the LB injuries in 2017 and 2019.

Both of them played some running back in high school. But, our remaining RBs are going to have to step up.

He's not the same since the accident, IMO.
I saw him a bit in high school and his style looked completely different.
Saban loves him because of what he's gone through—but there's a reason he was buried so low on the depth chart after being expected to challenge for the starting role this year.

Keilan Robinson is probably kicking himself for transferring.

Alabama’s defense isn’t as good as UGA but Alabama’s offense with Bryce Young, Williams and Metchie , and rbs Robinsond Sanders is better than UG’s offense with Bennet and crew

They are only going to beat UGA through Young's arm. The RB will only be used as a checkdown, so having a WR will be a bonus.

Maybe Biljan Robinson and can transfer immediately from Texas and enter the picture
