And a dishonest one at that.

Okay man, one last time, from an earlier post.

Miles is 34-6 over last 3 years. There's an OP on this page where a group of ESPN writers has LSU #3 over next 3 years. One is a fact, the other is a professional opinion. On the other side you have an anonymous quote by a coach that Miles most likely beat regularly, you and Mullen 3:16.

And I'll add the 2014 recruiting class is shaping up to be top 5.

You said legitimate discussion, right? Topic: LSU is in decline. Those are my 3 points. You have an anonymous coach quote and Mullen 3:16.

Ball's in your court.

Is that your definition for trolling? If it is, then I'm a troll too, because you're an idiot.

So the 2003 and 2004 recruiting classes are responsible for a title that was won 3 years after the HC left? The 54 players(assuming the full 2003 class redshirted) in those two classes won the BCS title?

I assume you have checked to see how many were still on the roster and actually played that year.

While Miles record of 34-6 over the last 3 years is good, I'm not sure how well it speaks to the future success of the program. That being said, the 2014 recruiting class should be stellar for you guys and DOES have direct implications on football team's outlook. I must have missed the earlier post. It's a shame it took 7 pages to get this productive kind of discussion going.

I tried to sidetrack it with a copy/paste

I thought about a good arse pick, since this is pretty much a Hogville.net (not sure why they dislike Coach Miles so much). But I've seen this a bit more from a few UA posters. Granted they're the cheerio kid brand...but I gotta fight the fight.

But to all the UA fans with brain cells and a grasp of history (of which there are many) Looking forward to another good one in BDS. Hopefully we won't be in too much decline

This is off topic, but my definition of trolling is trying to anger other posters on purpose for no reason. So I think him name-calling would fall into that category.

I'm not going to count all of them because that would be tedious. But the starting quarterback, a 2-time all american and 5th overall pick DT, and a starting WR that went in the 3rd round were all recruited by Saban. Another starter Marlon Favorite was also a Saban recruit. I'm not going to spend any more time looking up the 2003-2005 classes and cross referencing them with the 2007 roster though.

Keep in mind,Saban left after the 2004 season, but during the 2004 season you recruit the 2005 recruits, just like in the 2012 season NSD for the 13 class was shortly after the championship. So Saban basically recruited the 2005 class as well.

No, according to what you said, Shula, and only Shula would be responsible for Bama's 09 title. Which is fricking stupid. But then that would go against your Saban love fest.

I don't think Spurrier made that remark about Arkansas, sounds too direct. If Spurrier wants to insult a team he'll do it in a clever way that makes you think about it for a second; he wouldn't just come out and say someone is terrible.

FWIW I think Spurrier commented on Kentucky.

You do realize Miles had 32 recruits to Saban's 24 that participated in that championship game. Here's a list of the participating players.

LINK

Saban’s recruits were evenly distributed at 12 on offense, and 12 on defense. Miles’ had 18 on offense, and 14 on defense. But by all means, continue what you were doing.

Unsubstanciated statesments are easier for sure.
