UGA has won far more games than LSU, has far more winning seasons than LSU, has far less losing seasons than LSU, has been to more bowl games than LSU, has won more bowl games than LSU, has won more SEC titles than LSU, and claims the same number of national titles as LSU.
Georgia is more of a blueblood than LSU, however ---- I consider LSU to be a blueblood, as well. Andy Staples, imo, is incorrect in leaving off LSU, Nebraska and Tennessee (all bluebloods in my estimation). I'm much older than Andy and have covered and watched the sport much longer than Andy. Therefore, go by my list.

Wrong...LSU had never had more than a three year losing stretch in the first 100 years of the program and that took place in the 50s until Curly Hallman who plunged LSU in its dark ages with 6 losing seasons in the 1990s...

Are you still a historical Power house if you haven't sniffed a championship this century. And you have to go just as far back to find a conference title.
To me, you certainly should be able to lose your status.
Notre Dame has a better history and they haven't gone as long without total irrelevance. They have made the playoff twice and played for the title this century.
Tennessee is like Nebraska. It shouldn't be a lifelong membership once you're in.
This quote has a lot more feel to it than accomplishments.
What you've done lately should count if that lately has made you better in most categories historically.

I personally find him fairly mediocre though. Doesn't dole out dumpster takes daily, but rarely hits the nail on the head with something you couldn't get from someone else either.
