This is untrue. In fact, the surge of college football on the national level in the mid to late 1920s is what spurred on the creation of the Associated Press Poll in 1936.

When you run out of fingers and toes; which should be hard considering the extras you probably obtained through incestuous breeding, just start counting missing teeth gaps.
