That sentence you quoted right there tells me all I need to know about this "journalist." He/she is a fricking idiot. No, nobody really is mad that Duke lost because of their brackets. At least, not people without gambling addictions anyways.
I probably would have picked Duke over Michigan State if I had filled out a bracket, but I'm thrilled that State won. Go Spartans! Unless they play Auburn. I'll pull for Aubbie if they can get past Virginia.

Ratings for the final four are not going to be great. Nobody gives a shite about the teams that made it. Nobody hates them, few love them, most don't give a fuk.
I promise CBS was pulling for Duke. People love or hate Duke, and watch them.

Just schedule Duke, UNC, Kansas, and UCLA (or other former, dried-up power of your choice) in an annual play-off and name the winner Your National Champion.

A Michigan State, Texas Tech, Virginia, Auburn final four is much more appealing to me than a Duke, Gonzaga, Virginia, UNC final four. He’ll, I would rather see UCF or Virginia Tech in there over Michigan State.

I don’t even hate Duke, and yet it will be fun to watch these teams.
First time trips to the final four for two different teams is a compelling story.
Great defense and contrasting styles is going to be entertaining.

It just goes to show that having a great freshmen does not guarantee anything. As a great as they are , there is no pressure like the NCAA Tournament and until you experience it, there is no duplicating it.
I am actually pumped to see some new blood this year. It has been a while for Michigan State, 35 years for Virginia and first time for TT and Auburn. I think it is great.
2015 for MSU, but it seems forever ago given the crappy tournaments the 3 years in between (including a loss to a 15 seed)
