Not too much different. You kicked our tails on Sat, no doubt. But we gave you the game on Friday by gifting 7 walks including some runs. And the fly ball in the twilight... some good fortune also. For a one run win.
You were outhit 17-16 for the 2 games and out homered 6-2. Fortunately for you guys, most Horn HR's were solo shots.

Here is an interesting stat (SEC games only)

Team - Runs - Hits
A&M - 138 - 134
Texas - 87 - 131

Yes, that is correct. And don't ask me how A&M has managed at the half way point of the SEC season to have more runs than hits. That just doesn't seem possible/correct, yet it is.

In fact, no one else is even close to having runs/hits ratio of 1.0. It is truly an insane stat. It wasn't just a one off for this weekend.

That is due to the patience at the plate and willingness to take to 2 strikes unless given a FB to blast. When hitters lay off the breaking stuff until absolutely necessary...you get more walks and run pitch counts up.
It was a textbook display by the Ags this weekend.

Interesting stat. Looking on over to the right A&M also has 108 BB. Next closest team is 79. So, yeah, looking like Aggies got a pretty good eye and staying patient.

Need to shore up that pitching to make noise in the postseason, but the offense? Nails.

I am still trying to sort out if our pitching issues are talent based or coaching based. We don't have the burners on the mound we had a few years ago and someone keeps calling pitches that get sent to the moon against us.

Maybe the philosophy is high risk/high reward with the pitching and is intentional. We do seem to give up a ton of solo HRs while not giving up very many multiple run ones.

However, yes, hitting is nails since Early took that back over this year. Infield defense has been cleaned up tremendously by Pennington who seems to be nails as well, especially considering the freshmen playing key roles there.

If pitching would stop throwing meatballs over the center of the plate when ahead 0-2 in the count we could be pretty, pretty good.

We should walk Aiden every time he comes up if/when we face them again. 2 of those 4 HRs he hit were balls.

Last time the Longhorns swept a 3-game series against aggy = 2025

Last time aggy swept a 3-game series against the Horns = 1991

Be sure to tell recruits that when explaining why we beat your arse into oblivion this past weekend.

There gonna care about what happened in 1991.

Then why does every single team bring recruits to see games? Explain…please.

Yeah, that's kinda what happens when the rest of your batters suck.

It is called very good hitting coaching for guys to make the pitchers work and swing at hittable balls only.

tu pitchers really got worked over this past weekend, Aggies wouldn't swing at their sucker balls.
