Students have to wait in line for tickets? Is A&M ever going to join with the times and do that shite online?

I'm sorry we have devoted students that actually want to attend games. Y'all have what, maybe 10k students go to games? Sorry we send more than triple that. If y'all had anything close to the 12th Man you would understand.

They don't have to.
But they choose to.
We put 30,000+ students in Kyle.
Ticket pull starts on Monday (seniors) and wraps up when freshman pull on Thursdays.
If they want a ticket, they wait in line.
Trust me ... our ticket office has the process down to an art.

Is this preparation for careers waiting in unemployment and welfare check lines?

All the fans in here that are criticizing A&Ms student ticket process are idiots. The reason they do it this way is because every student gets to go to the game. At LSU and other schools, only a certain percentage of the students actually get tickets, which is ridiculous

That just means you send more students to watch your team get their arse kicked on a daily basis

Since you're attempting to make a joke, I won't link the multitudes of "Texas A&M graduates are among tops in the country in terms of employment/employability" stories floating around on the Interweb.

And no, that's not what the lines are for. But you're a funny, funny guy.

Well why not just do some "random allotment" at the beginning for those wanting season tickets? Give priority to the "bigger games" and seating to upperclassmen. Then each student gets all their tickets prior to the season. Some games you will be in the lower deck, but others you may be in one of the higher decks. Makes sense to me, but I understand y'all do things differently.

Because that would be stupid. If you want a group of 20-30 people to sit together and that can change from week to week, why would you submit to random allotment initially and never be able to change. If you're more committed and willing to wait in line longer than anyone else, why should you get priority? No part of what you suggested sounds fun or makes sense at all other than making it easy for a bunch of morons in a ticket office to handle... but watching a bunch of coonasses try to count... I think I understand why y'all do it that stupid way.

That's not completely true (we have greater than 53,000 students), but we certainly put a boatload of 'em in seats at football games.

But your premise is entirely accurate.

Meh, I'm just a bitter old college student that has too many things that are higher priority than waiting in line.

This was an awesome aspect of being a student. I also remember camping out for my Aggie ring (to get an earlier time slot for ring day).

and apparently we'll be in "the parking lot right next to the stadium" according to my Dad's friends.

Not sure what this means.

Any thoughts, Aggies?

That typically means Lot A, MikeHoncho. Very choice parking, if that's indeed where you are.
