Nope. But the difference is... A&M fans aren’t crowing about basketball superiority while not even making the NCAA tournament.
Seems like a foolish endeavor. But if we are just going to ride conference coattails then anything is free game.
A&M is working on hiring a better coach. A&M will compete.
Meanwhile, Texas is getting passed up by in state conference rivals while being chained to Shaka with a $13M buyout. Texas’ ROI there does not look good, so they start threads about A&M to change the conversation.

I'll give TAMU credit for making moves to win (Jimbux, BuzzLightYr) but TAMU wants elite program recognition without ever having elite program results

literally no one would even remotely consider any of our programs elite
but the stupidity of stuff like this is that it allows no context. our football program may not have a top 4 finish, which in of itself is a hilarious stat because its just a goal post move when it was "no top 5 finishes since the 50s", but we had numerous top 10 finishes in the 80s and 90s. we may not have a CWS finalist appearance, but we are like top 20 in appearances in the actual event
as an athletic department, we have never been able to get over the hump in any of the major sports. that sucks, but to even begin to act like none of our programs have been competitive is whatever and why stats like this one just deserve to be laughed at

Why is it not funny to laugh at the fact that most A&M fans walking this planet today have NEVER witnessed a championship in any of the 3 major men’s sports

Shouldn’t this be about actual championships? What does making the final four in anything other than basketball have to do with anything? I mean, A&M hasn’t won any of those in forever either but the top four thing is just a gimmicky way to include all the other small schools and sports right?
