Here's the irony of t-sips hyping up Texas Tech: In 2011, the Texas Tech athletic director famously threatened to forfeit and not even have the team travel to Austin if a football or basketball game between the two schools was ever put on the longhorn Network. The sips, being the pussies that they are, caved.
