Over 18 months, I can literally count on one hand how many times I have heard the mainstream media bring up up the undeniable correlation of negative outcomes with obesity.
Vaccines are great, I would never try to persuade someone not to get it if they felt it was right for them.
The social distancing, masks, plastic shields, etc have done next to nothing. This is proven by the data.
The lack of discussion surrounding obesity as it relates to COVID outcomes is almost criminal. It is, by FAR, the single biggest determining factor. Anyone who denies that should never open their mouth about “the science”, because they don’t give a shite about science or data.

Case counts don't mean a damn thing.
Of course they don't. But that's what people go by as justification for the mandates.
They sure as hell aren't going by death rate because that's dramatically lower with delta variant....that's why nobody in the press talks about it.

I wonder if you have to bring your actual vaccine card, or if a copy of it will be sufficient?

I’m assuming from a health condition? Should they be shoulder to shoulder in a stadium with people who possibly have a contagious virus in the first place?
If they want to, sure.
I don’t make decisions for other adults. It’s weird that others want to no?

One, the law has no teeth on enforcement, and two, if there's also the choice of a negative test, it's not a vaccine passport. The AG can stomp and scream on Twitter all he wants, but there are ways around that poorly written law.
It may be poorly written, but the University of Alabama will not deliberately and actively defy that. Zero chance they make all 100,000 people show a negative PCR test, either.

why are they not requiring a negative test regardless of vax status?
Is a negative test even proof of anything? You can be contagious for days before you test positive.
Maybe just let people live their lives. If they're willing to go to a college football game with 100k people, they really shouldn't be the ones complaining about possibly contracting COVID at that event. If someone is concerned about that, they probably shouldn't be going and putting themselves in that situation

The apple flavored ones I give to our horses normally cost $8 and now cost $25 on Amazon. People have lost their minds...

Nope. It not only limits the severity IF you get it to begin with it also limits the spread

I mean I guess those people with stage 4 cancer getting chemotherapy could tolerate a nasal swab?

So at the gate now a person will have to show their ticket (or mobile ticket), get their bag checked if they're carrying one, and show proof of COVID vaccination or negative PCR test? Are we sure every stadium has enough gate people who are willing to do all of that?

If by "dropping like flies" you mean miss a couple of days of practice because they're under the weather, yeah, I guess.
I mean, these statistics are the reason for the season. People are contagious and intelligent people are waiting to see the safety side of this before they spend their money. This is NOT about politics.
This is big business trying to assure the public they are proactive about their health at a football game. That is not unlike any other business that is catering to patrons to come and visit. Why make it any more complicated than that?

Everyone may have been consulted, but that doesn't mean everyone was on the same page or their opinion even truly mattered. I can assure you this idea was pushed by the President and signed off on by JBE.

I'm not going to make any predictions on what they may or may not do, but just pointing out that the state law is easily skirted if the will is there. Whether the will is there is a different story. I tend to agree with you that there isn't, but we'll see.

I doubt it. It will be a shitshow at the gates.

You mean the tiny fraction of under 1%? Chances are not many of the will be going be going to a game, but if they did, a negative Covid test will suffice.

It's just proof of vaccination. A copy/photo will be sufficient. I don't know anyone that walks around with their vaccine card, especially at a event that big.

Yeah, timing a negative PCR test to make sure it’s within 72 hours of kickoff should be a breeze lol

It would probably blow your mind if you knew the kind of information facebook has on your(assuming you have an account). They block access to most of it, but an advertiser could in the past target on all kinds of crazy information. Facebook knows if you are about to get divorced, if you are about to move, and all kinds of other shite.
And of course, we all know the NSA with their stuff.
However, there is a big difference between private companies and the government. Especially when it comes to what can be used in a court of law and how easily it can be obtained etc.
Are you also one of those people who thinks "If you have nothing to hide, you have no reason to not talk to the police"? Because that is also really dumb.

Does this mean they’re checking IDs against the Vax card? Or is this just more political posturing that serves zero purpose other than to inconvenience people in the name of sCiEnCe?
