What about people that can’t be vaccinated? Tough shite?

I’m assuming from a health condition? Should they be shoulder to shoulder in a stadium with people who possibly have a contagious virus in the first place?

It would be kinda funny if most fans stayed outside at the tailgates instead of going inside the stadium. Got yer own beer and food instead of paying concession prices, much more comfortable. I mean dayum… it’d be a pretty good party in Baton Rouge.

Would be fun, but if LSU does what they did last year, tailgating is out too

it's not even just assumption of the risk They would have to prove LSU caused the person to contract COVID, and that would be almost impossible. As someone else already said, a lawsuit like that would take a miracle to survive summary judgment.

And even if it did, absolutely 0 judges are gonna wanna be the one to open up that floodgate

They won't be the last. Players and coaches are dropping like flies with positive tests so far.

If by "dropping like flies" you mean miss a couple of days of practice because they're under the weather, yeah, I guess.

You know what else is dropping like flies? New case counts in Florida. Coming soon to a state near you.

Take vitamins. Exercise. Wash your hands.

This is the correct answer. Yet, it is exceedingly rare to hear a politician or health official talk about it. All you hear is get the vaccine. If we didn't have such a large population of obese people, the amount of people that die from covid would more than likely be far lower.

Oh absolutely agree, not a chance. The number of lawsuits that would follow would be outrageous and destroy businesses. This would create all sorts of unintended consequences moving forward with not just COVID, but any sickness that causes injury.

This won’t be the last restriction out of LSU. This is simply the first, to prime the tanks.

They have one of the most liberal Presidents in the entire country, William Tate, who I’m pretty sure posts here, receiving feedback from a liberal governor.

Maybe, depends on the judge. It's just a really, really dumb move for Universities to get into the business of determining health as a reason for going to events.

Well you dont have to go to the games do you?

If you are vaxxed why should you care if others are unvaxxed?

Because the vax is not 100%

Take vitamins. Exercise. Wash your hands. If you are sick stay home. Make your own choice on the vax. Simply no reason for schools to get involved in this and it sets a horrible precedent.

or you could, ya know, get the vax

It does limit, although not to the amount most thought it would.

Example. If you have 2 people next to someone who has it, one has the vax the other doesn't, the one who has the vax is less likely. Not by a ton, but less likely.

And yes, the biggest thing is if you have the Vax, it helps keep the symptoms manageable = potentially out of the hospital.

Masks dont do shite.

Since the Alabama legislature passed and the Governor signed a state law specifically forbidding it, I'd say he can feel pretty confident.

One, the law has no teeth on enforcement, and two, if there's also the choice of a negative test, it's not a vaccine passport. The AG can stomp and scream on Twitter all he wants, but there are ways around that poorly written law.

Not even close actually, so that begs the question…why are they not requiring a negative test regardless of vax status?

Just about everyone was consulted.

In a release, LSU said it consulted with Gov. John Bel Edwards, school president William F. Tate IV, the board of supervisors, the Tiger Athletic Foundation and athletic director Scott Woodward.
