America, Bud Light, Cracker Barrel, etc, etc

-American colonists didn’t like paying taxes, so they chunked all the British tea in the harbor and seceded, and won their Independence
-Bud Light drinkers didn’t like their beer going tranny, so they tanked the company and cost them billions of dollars and discovered they’d been drinking piss the whole time anyway
-Some dumb bitch with those stupid liberal thick rimmed glasses tried to change Cracker Barrel into a gay themed Huddle House, but the diabetics rose up and got the CEO fired and their logo back…
And….yet, college football fans are just going to sit back, bend over, and accept this 24 team regular-season-killing playoff money grab being rammed up their cornhole?!?!
It’s all so sad on so many levels

Isn't TV viewership way down this year? I lost all interest in the NFL years ago. I can see me not being interested in college football also in the near future if something doesn't change.

CFB isnt something that can easily be taken down in a fairly quick amount of time relatively speaking like Bud Light and Cracker Barrel was.
They are going to be dismantled over a much longer period of time through the slowly bleeding out from their terrible decisions and the slow erosion over time of the support/money first of the type of people who are most likely to post on places like this, the biggest fans who are most invested. Then that slowly but surely matriculates outward and down to every subset of fans until it will eventually reach what will be the kill shot, normies tuning out.

I still watch every UGA game I can, but in the past I used to watch many more games. I haven't done that in years unless it is a really big matchup or has implications for UGA.
Until our game, I hadn't seen a single Alabama game.
I haven't seen a single LSU game since the Ole Miss Game.
I only watched the Florida vs SC game once I saw the upset was coming and I had to tune in for it.
Etc.
Ten years ago, I spent Saturday's watching or following every game I could.
My overall interest in the sport has waned. A 24 team playoff will only make it wane more.

I like the Vodka Soda analogy.
You aren't getting more Vodka. You are getting more Soda.

This.
They are appealing to the people that like Pat Mcafee right now. Problem is those people are retarded.
Idk if it was AI but I saw something about a halftime performance for some game that includes Pat mcafee, the savannah bananas, and Jason kelce.
All people who willingly buy tickets to this event should sterilized.

Jesus H. Christ, that makes me want to find a tall building to jump off of.

Yep. I watch a LOT less football than I used to. My entire weekend was schedule around football games. Not so much any more. Maybe I'm just getting old....but it's just not the priority it used to be.

Other than the first, I don’t give much of a shite about those examples.

I would buy a ticket for that, but anything with Pat McAfee I won't watch.

Were the old days when getting to the Citrus Bowl was a big deal and getting to the Sugar Bowl was a huge deal really all that awesome?
Even if you won the Citrus Bowl or the Sugar Bowl, the season was over. And you were just the Citrus Bowl champion and occasionally the Sugar Bowl champion would be the national champion.
If 2021 was 1991 and not 2021, instead of winning the national championship, we would've been in the frigging Citrus Bowl and Alabama would've been in the Sugar Bowl.
Personally I like the idea of potentially getting to watch 16 Georgia games instead of 12.
