LSU transcends rivalries. We are too big , too all- encompassing to have a rival. We have chirpy critics and obsessed haters, but no one could ever rival LSU. We are in a class by ourselves.

Arkansas and Texas A&M are wannabe LSU Rivals.

There must be significant wins by the underdog for a rivalry to truly exist. This excludes the Aggies who have a current 1-8 record just don’t cut it.

The razorbacks were developing into a rivalry, but their latest loosing streak has tarnished it at best and killed it at worse.

LSU’s old rivals were Ole Miss and Tulane. But they fell away.

Our current rivals are Auburn who at 12-16 since 1992 qualify, and Florida at 16-12 also qualify.

We want to be rivals with Nick but at 4-10 it barely qualifies despite our hatred. But from 2007 to the National Championship game in 2012 the 3-3 record indicates just how heated it was for a time.

Ole Miss is LSU’s biggest rival. The series is much closer than most SEC fans realize.

LSU is only up 8 games on Ole Miss since 1938.

Since 1938 LSU is 43-35 against Ole Miss.

I will say Ole Miss going 5-15 against LSU since 2000 is unacceptable and a big reason why LSU fans don’t consider Ole Miss to be their biggest rival.

But Ole Miss and LSU used to knock each other out of the national championship every other season in the 50’s and 60’s.
