Am I the only SEC fan that likes Verne and Gary ?

One thing I like about Lundquist is he seems to thoroughly enjoy the SEC and has tremendous respect for the conference and its teams and players. He does confuse and mispronounce names--and honestly more than he should ,but every network game pro or college has screwups.
As for the "Ingram Controversy" ,if anything I would venture for non-Alabama fans it has garnered a lot of respect for the young man for going about things the right way and also thriving while his father is incarcerated.
Danielson won me over win he campaigned for Florida's inclusion in the BCS title game in 2006 as the Arkansas game was winding down.
Anyone else, or I'm I the only one who likes them besides their wives ?

I've always liked them, but Verne seems to be slipping a bit this year.
Danielson is great at identifying coverages and identifying plays based on the formation, but he goes off on a tangent sometimes too. All in all they are better than average when Verne isn't calling Alabama "Auburn" or saying "here at the beginning of the fourth quarter" when you come out of halftime....

I'm with you I-59. I actually like them a good bit. I just wish Verne would get players names right every now and then. One mistake I will let pass but continuously calling a player by another name is just pathetic.

Vern sucks. Gary knows football and can be tolerable, but he needs to be careful about making really controversial remarks. Sometimes he may be off base (cody remark).

I like Gary.
Verne may be past his prime and he struggles with names, rules etc. All in all they're not the worst crew.

I like Danielson's analysis, he's usually spot on. I ignore Verne.

They are good. Nobody is perfect, but I actually watch the game so their comments are mostly irrelevant background noise to me.

The only sports commentator I've ever truly disliked was Dan Dierdorf. Vern and Gary aren't anywhere near as bad as him.

Yeah, I like them too, but Gary really can be an arse sometimes. I mean, sometimes it's a good thing for an announcer to be a cocky, know-it-all arse at times. The problem is, Gary does it in such a sour way, that he usually just isn't very much fun to listen to ... unlike a Steve Spurrier type of personality, for instance.

can't stand verne and gary. if they are covering a UF game they spend more time talking about tebow than the game itself
