Doesn't matter. ND stacks the box and trusts their DB's in man coverage. They aren't going to let us run on them. Marcus Freeman is not a moron. He's going to make Gunner Stockton vs his secondary be the determining factor in the game.

ETA- I think doing this vs Carson Beck would be suicide, but with Gunner Stockton, Freeman is going to make him prove to be an elite passer before he starts respecting it. In the meantime, the LOS is going to be scattered, covered, and smothered.

A lot was made about Texas not being prepared for him and I had bought into that, but Saban commented on that very subject a couple of days ago on ESPN. He said that UGA did not alter their game plan one iota when Stockton came in: that they kept doing exactly what they had done in the first half. That surprised me, but if anyone should know I would think it would be Saban.

I wouldn't put much money on either team but why, specifically, do you think ND steamrolls UGA?

I think UGA wins unless Stockton plays like straight trash.

Absolutely matters. By the third quarter ND will be worn down on DLine. Expect big rushing numbers by UGA in this game.

That's a very broad and vague statement. Some things did change. But there's only so much you can change up in an 18 minute halftime. You certainly can't install a brand new game plan.

It’s a bad matchup for Notre Dame who’s not a good passing team.

Idk what UGA’s offense will look like, but it’s not like Beck wouldn’t have gone out and throw 1-3 int for UGA to overcome anyway.

Maybe

See the spread.

See 2017 and 2019.

This. And that's with Big Game Brian Kelly at the helm. Marcus Freeman has the same talent as those BK teams but is a better coach.

ND lost to NIU. I certainly hope you can dominate them

I’m not sure. How I feel about this game. I hope Georgia embarrasses them
And proves that they shouldn’t be in the game but this is not Georgias best team in recent years and I think Beck is out but I’m
Not sure.

I agree. ND certainly seem confident but I don’t think they’ve played a team who’s as dominant on both O and D lines like Georgia.

I agree. IF we face Georgia a third time we’re going to have a blueprint and timely planned game plan on Stockton by then. We shall see.

ND hasn’t played a team as athletic/ good as UGA yet. I think y’all win a close one on Wednesday. The real Test will be Gunner against Penn State. I’m interested to see how much difference 20 days of preparation vs a week of preparation makes for him.

Prolly. But, I think UGA should dominate ND. Better team, better players, better program all around. More depth.

Problem is, UGA seems to start really slow, and have real trouble playing to full potential against lesser teams.

I think it’s UGA’s game to lose - and I think they might.
