Jumped up from 13.9% over the weekend.

I still don't see it happening, for a number of reasons, but I am surprised to see it jump that much just based on beating Auburn and not much else happening otherwise.

Ohio State vs Michigan being canceled may have factored into that. Ohio State's resume as it stands will not get them into the playoff. Unless Florida beats Alabama in Atlanta - Texas A&M has as a decent shot, IMO.

Only teams worth a dam are Bama, Clemson, and OSU. The last team in will get absolutely man handled. Similar to last year.

It paradoxical that increasing the number of playoff teams has (and will) resulted in consolidation of power in a handful of programs.

A 1 loss SEC champ will always get in, but so will a one loss Bama, Ohio State.

Increasing the field to 8 will just make it where a 10-2 Bama is in every year.

I’m for just 2 teams even though AU got left out one year.
Have we had 2 great semifinal games in any of the playoff years?

Don’t say that, ND fans will be furious.

I think all of or the majority of the following needs to happen for aTm to get in:
- Bama stays undefeated and wins SEC
- ND beats Clemson seconds time or a healthy Clemson destroys ND 3+ TDs
- Iowa State lose Big XII Championship (they are postured to jump aTm with a Conf title; it seems the CFP committee has forgiven a bad week 1 loss)
- tOSU does not get a game scheduled and missed its own CG appearance finishing with 5 games
- tOSU may also be penalized for only 6 games if allowed into their CCG as it is a marked advantage in rest and readiness for the CFP compared to those having played 10+ games; however, I don't expect them to be kept out if they win the B1G

IF...
-UF or Clemson loses again and aTm schedules tOSU and wins this week, they would almost certainly be in

Ohio St. is now out.

...as is the entire Big 10 now.

I think it's going to be:

Alabama
Clemson
Notre Dame
Texas A & M

In that order

You have to know that A&M might get a spot but they have no chance of winning it all.

2017 was the closest. OT win for UGA, 18 point win for Alabama.

Most of the time neither semifinal game is competitive.

From a competitive standpoint, it would be a shame if Ohio State doesn't get in. I like A&M - their program, fans and all that but their team is not a playoff team. They might be as good as Notre Dame was in 2019. Any team that backs into a playoff should be a strong team.

But, does any B1G team deserve to get in after their shite show virtue signal at the beginning? Probably not.

Florida is a better team than A&M at this point especially if they lose a close one to Alabama. I just want the 4 best teams in but we'll see what happens. If the committee puts A&M in, I guess I'll have to accept they're a playoff team.

Another point to make- how is it fair to the other playoff teams that have played multiple more games than Ohio state?

Other teams had to play a full schedule with injuries and attrition whereas Ohio state will have played like 4-5 fewer games.

yep. Even last year, only Clemson OSU was close.

year before, Clemson 30 - ND 3, Bama 45 - OU 34

Why should Ohio State get in at this point.

I think that's a fair point. I'm not of the most deserving camp but I always want the 4 best. I don't think A&M is one of the 4 best even without Ohio State in. Florida is a better team. But, that being said, it would be hard to argue A&M getting in if Bama beats Florida. They'll have 2 losses and one of them is to A&M. Hard to argue but watching both teams play, I think Florida is better.

Good thing for us though, my opinion means nothing.

Florida didn’t prove they were a better team when they played A&M head to head.

But you are right, it is just your opinion.

I think you are right about the teams but the order is off. It should be:
Alabama
Clemson
TAMU
ND
nobody wants to see Clemson and ND play for a 3rd time in the semis of Bama TAMU for a 2nd time in the semis.

Good thing for Ohio State in regards to A&M that this isn't true then. A&M will play at most 9 games. Without playing this weekend Ohio State will play 6 and if somehow the B1G gets their heads out of their assses at the meeting today they may get a game this weekend as well.

Yeah but they do now. I think they'd beat A&M by 2 TDs now. But that's just an opinion.

Ok so 3 less games than A&M. Or, 33% of the season. You really got me there!

Just don't embellish. This shite is fricked up enought without people pulling their numbers out of their asses.
