I'm sorry, but why is it even on the visiting team to offer suggestions? Shouldn't the hosting team be the one that should be since they're hosting the fricking game? All we're responsible for doing is showing up wherever the game is set to be played.

You posted a print Q&A with the Advocate FWIW, not an interview.

What team do you root for again?

There's nothing on record that LSU turned down any of UFs offers. I wonder if they had any? (except LSU losing a home football game, apparently)

It's not. But if the visiting team didn't offer neutral locations or times other than Sunday, it's ridiculous to claim that they did.

No, it's not. I don't know what your obsession is, but you look like a fool.

We didn't offer to play on the moon either, should that be reported as well?

Interviews often consist of questions and answers. Your experience may differ.

Did Alleva give different answers than those in an interview with another outlet? If so, why did he contradict himself in the other interview?

Say you're right, and he offered only to play Sunday in Gainesville. Why couldn't Florida say, "Sunday may be a little early, lets just schedule it and make plans for Monday and if things are bad here we will just postpone it and work it in later on in the season"

But way to try to pin UF being chicken sh*ts on LSU.

LSU is the most easily-rustled fanbase of the SEC, they're in a constant state of rustle, no point in trying.

Reason and logic just aren't in their collective wheelhouse.

It's embarrassing. ''They could have played in an empty Tiger stadium -- you know, killed their home field advantage and played three consecutive away games while their families go without power in Florida.''

You'd think they'd be a little more sympathetic to hurricane victims.

Maybe, but that's better than cowardice. That's all up in Florida's wheelhouse.

That's a reasonable question. I'm not on Florida's side here. But LSU didn't make 80 offers of options like many posters are claiming. And we don't know the restrictions on logistics that each game and particularly this game faced.

We've had Hurricanes before and still played the game that weekend. Stop being a p*ssy.

Straight from the horse's mouth ...

"We would have done ANYTHING to get the game in... We would have played anywhere we needed to play."

Everyone now knows Florida refused to play the game. The only question that is debatable now is "Why?" It's a legitimate question that UF and Foley (and now the commissioner) are now being blasted with and criticized for, rightfully so.

They know just as much as you, so if they don't know then neither do you. Like someone mentioned, this was up to Florida and the SEC to make this game happen, NOT LSU. We've been there and miraculously were able to play that weekend, twice (in the same season). With thousands of people displaced and the campus being used as a makeshift hospital. There's only so many excuses you can make, ya know?

Correct. LSU actually offered more than 80 options. I'm not sure if "Infiniti" equals 81 or 100 or 2000 options, but It is well documented that LSU would have done anything to get the game played this weekend. Florida refused, simple as that.

So what did the SEC commissioner respond with? Nothing.

He got bent over by Foley. At least LSU tried to play the game this weekend.

The problem is your arguments are nit-picky at best.

Why don't you start a thread with this much research and energy calling out Florida for their role is this mess?
