In 2019 LSU had the best college football team in the nation.
In 2020 Alabama had the best college football team in the nation.
In 2021-22 Georgia had the best college football team in the nation.
The rest is all speculation.

That back-to-back though.

Still floating. Hope every die-hard college football fan gets to feel this way at some point.

I believe LSU had the best ever measurable "season". Based on all of it, the ridiculousness of the passing game, the big games, the names, the Cinderella factor, the draft-all of it.
Best team is pointless.
Best team is pointless.

And to think three teams in the SEC have made a case for being the greatest football team in the history of college football all within 4 years. Quite impressive.

Agreed. Except for UF and Auburn.

Both teams blew out Oregon early in their seasons.

Since 1998, there have been 15 SEC National Champs.
Foot note, in 2004, BCS formula diminished "Strength of Schedule" variable to make it "fair"; Auburn ran the table and was left out of the BCS National Championship Game.
