So looking at Mizzou, I checked 1960.
Nov 5th ranked #2 vs #18 Colorado. Won. Stayed at 2
Nov 12th ranked #2 vs unranked OK. Won. Moved to #1
Nov 19th ranked #1 vs unranked Kansas. Lost. Moved to #5
Sports Ref also lists them AP #1 in 2007.
23 Nov #2 MZ beats #3 Kan. They move to #1 in AP
1 Dec #1 MZ loses to #9 OK. They move to #7

Statistically according the chart, Oklahoma has the best winning percentage. Imagine if they were 148-16.
