All these years I just assumed Aggie and Sooner fans

just hated their Rival and never really believed a lot of the things said about UT and the fan base. Aside from UT putting LSU band in upper deck, only giving LSU 3K tickets, and the AC (backed up by every LSU media person that went into locker room) the game experience was absolutely horrible.
Overflow from student section get to find an empty seat and sit in it. Total sht show that is. Bunch of drunk students fighting over seats.
Fans were pure garbage inside stadium and leaving stadium. Had UT fans in front of us in lower level visitor's side tell my sister to gtfo of their stadium as soon as we sat down. They then proceeded to face us instead of game for most of the first quarter and cuss us. Literally not watching game half the time. Just insane. Crowd continually booed injured players. 3 of which are out this Saturday. The other two were taken to locker room for IV. After last LSU TD I dropped my glasses and they bounced in front of a Horn couple. She turned and said this mfr is throwing stuff at me. Told her LSU just put nail in the coffin why would I be angry and throw things. And if I did said it would be an empty water bottle not my glasses. That is just a couple examples but it was an awful experience. My brother in law ended up watching most the second half on TV by restrooms because the fans around us were so bad.
Going into the game I was thinking how it would be cool to play them every year. After game I can say I will never ever go back there.
I was totally shocked. Never would've expected this type of behavior. Glad LSU won so that I can report these things and not be accused of being a sore loser etc.

how does this work? Do they not have an assigned number of student tix allocated for each game? And the students that didn't make it to the student section..are you saying they jsut get free reign to find any seat and use it?

That is what I was told by two different UT season ticket holders. It's craziness.

Their fans are definitely very trashy. Please note that that is not how Texans are, it is exclusive behavior to those liberal nut jobs in Austin

I've gotta be missing something here. There's no way that's accurate...what does John Q. Seasonticketholder do when 2 students have just taken their ticketed seat? Do they have squatters rights?

Yes, it’s a free-for-all, and if one of the students gets up to go to the bathroom or to get a water bottle they lose their seat

Students are definitely GA, but I assumed that was confined to a specific section.
I guess they have to get used to assuming they can can take whatever they want at some point. They clearly learn it somewhere.

I wasn't in the stadium for the game, but every interaction I had with UT fans was pretty tame. They honestly didn't even seem to care that much about the game.
Was sorely disappointed when I got out to tailgate at 11am and campus was a ghost town, though.

I used to love using our home made slingshot/catapult to launch piss balloons at opposing fans and the elderly (esp. Boomers) before the fun police had to ruin it

True. But they'll go nuts over something that's billed as a major event. They're like the dickbags that emptied their life savings to go to Fyrefest because they just had to be seen at the biggest party festival EVAR for their social media cred.

UT is so not used to there being this level of interest in Football, they had no clue how to handle the crowd. The students actually blew past security and trampled each other to get into the stadium. Trash.
