...All this is just flaming and overreaction to one poor football season, right?

I still don't think they should be in the SEC. Didn't want them in the first place and my opinion hasn't changed.

Pretty much. Just how this place is.

I think so. I have no problem with them being in the SEC.

I think Mizzou be much better this year.
They're a talented team, particularly in the skill position areas, and it's hard to see their offensive line not improving after the injuries and depth concerns they had. They return two QBs with SEC experience as well as pretty much the entire receiving corps. I could see them being a pretty good team this upcoming season (8-4 or so) and finishing 4th in the East.

Same thing happened when Arky came aboard. They didn't win right away and many of their fans lamented leaving the SWC.
It wasn't the same with USC and A&M, though. The Gamecocks were just glad to have a home. I wonder if they knew then that they were moving into the "mansion on the hill" of college sports?
A&M moved in with the right attitude. With a big middle-finger salute towards Austin, the Aggies swaggered into the conference knowing they had finally arrived where they should have been all along. Their instant success in SEC sports proves they were a sleeping giant - similar to Florida's awakening in the '90s.
Give Mizzou time. Coming to the SEC has been great for USC, Texas A&M and Arky. They were in a toxic relationship with Kansas and the Big 12. New rivalries will kindle a revival of their sports programs.

We won soon enough. Sadly, I don't see this in Missouri's future

Not until we find a coach that can coach/recruit in the SEC. Maybe Pinkel finds that coach within himself(it wasn't there last year), but I doubt he can. We may very well end up 5-7 again this year but it might be a "prettier" 5-7?

You don't see your team improving at all?
Murray St, Toldeo, Indiana, Arkansas St are all wins. Vandy will be a young team and likely not as good. You get Tennessee at home. A young Kentucky team with a new head coach. At Ole Miss, who everyone is buying in the preseason but I could see them dropping this one.
That's 8 wins right there and 6 at worst.

I would like to think we'll be improved, but until they show me their talent level is something different than last year, I'm just going to wait and see. Based on last year, I wouldn't be surprised if they lose one of the OOC games(like last year plus MU has a history of laying an egg in a game they should win). UF, UGA, SC, A&M and OM are all losses. That leaves UK, Vandy and UT. If we win all 3 we end 6-6. Reality is we probably take 2 of those 3. Again, I hope they prove me wrong but I see nothing different with this team other than another year of experience, which I do understand is a good thing.
