Exactly. Kids do this all the time. I've seen kids where a color of every hat on the table. It's a gimmick to throw everyone off.

Get familiar with the situation before typing. He committed last night to Alabama, had quotes from him in morning articles talking about it, and then shows up to his press conference and changes. He grew up in an Alabama family, and has been a fan his entire life.

He also wants to be an Ag major, so that had to help Auburn's chances.
But just for reference, Cullman, AL (where Region is from) is home to the most EPIC tv commercial EVER...

Look closely at the tie. Alabama's logo is on it.

I wanted this kid before today but after the little stunt he pulled I hope Saban lets him stay with Auburn. There is a right and a wrong way to go about a commitment. You don't call a coach the night before, tell him that you're coming to his school, give an interview to a bunch of reporters explaining why you chose that school, and then...at the last minute...change your mind and fool everyone by picking up another hat. That's not cool and it's not funny. I don't care if this guy screwed Auburn by committing to Alabama like this. It's not right.
So...if he decommits from Auburn, I want nothing to do with him. Even if he eventually ends up at Alabama, I want nothing to do with him.

I bet you didn't know both DYer and Lattimore grew up LSU fans.
Where are they again?

...and the situation on this one. He committed to Alabama last night, and then switches less than 24 hours later. Something happened, and I'm willing to bet he still ends up at Alabama.

Memphis...have you been reading anything about the situation?
The guy called Saban LAST NIGHT and said that he had committed to the Crimson Tide. There were no Auburn reporters in that crowd this afternoon. There was an Alabama banner hanging up behind him. Region gave interviews JUST BEFORE he announced saying how great it was to be able to play for Alabama, etc. Those articles were posted online just minutes before he announced and are there for you to read if you choose. Dyer and Lattimore NEVER led LSU on like that...EVER.

I feel like I've read you saying this about 20 times on 3 different threads.

Well, it's my belief. Does no one else find it to be a strange situation?

Per BOL, it's just a purple tie...

I do. I honestly think that bama just pushed a little too hard, didn't want him to take official visits, etc. and that caused him to switch to Auburn.
