Let’s pump the breaks. Here is there opponents wins to date:
NM state
Central Arkansas
NC Central
Old Dominion
Towson
Kent State
Youngstown state
Aggies
South alabama
That is quite impressive. Their offense is greatly improved and will make them a challenge for any team, but let’s stop with anointing Russell as the next coming until they play a team with a pulse.

He is very raw but shows tremendous upside and game to game improvement. I don't think it even fair to "annoint" him anything other than that. He has and will have many more young QB moments that leave us scratching our heads.
The team as a whole is still finding itself.
With @MSU, UGA, @UTk, Aggie (not playing great but talented and capable of a good game), and @LSU up next, it will be a slog to get through.
I expect plenty of lessons learned. If they get through the season with 2 losses they are in the CFPs. With 3, it may take some help. But, it could be a very good ball team by season's end, which is all any can hope for.
I guess we will just have to wait and see. But, it is fun seeing the balance on offense and a team that seems pretty hungry.

So? Take a look at Miami's schedule...or Texas Tech, or Indiana, or Notre Dame, or Penn State. I could go on and on.

You are right. Alabama destroyed all of them like they were supposed to. Covered the spread in 3 of the games.

Bama D is not very good, arm tackling, trying to knock guys down with shoulder. If they don’t improve 110% there not making the playoff with the schedule. Why tf the secondary was supposed to be a strength is a head scratcher…

Im OK with pumping the brakes but who below us has shown to be a better team?
We'll see in a few weeks if Bama can compete with the good teams, but so far they look good.
Bama has about 5 quality teams in a row starting next week.
and LSU will get a chance to show they're better than Bama.
