No, it didn't mean anything to any of those people. And I'm sure you would have felt the same if Broome's 3 at the end was a walkoff game winner. You probably wouldn't have even posted about that meaningless game.
When you have 16 quad 1 wins and the NCAA #1 overall seed locked up along with the conference championship regular season games mean nothing.

Yes, your fans didn't seem bothered by it at all.

15 Quad 1 wins.
And lie to yourself all you want. You know you wanted that game. It was anything but meaningless. It will be shown forever when these two teams play.

If you asked college coaches who they didn’t want to see in the NCAA tournament 90% would say Duke.
I'd say Florida

16. Kentucky last week where we clenched the SEC title was Sweet #16.
alabama fans might remember it because it was their Super Bowl.
Auburn won the game in Tuscaloosa that mattered.

Will Auburn make it to the Sweet 16 this year for only the second time since Bruce has been there?

Mississippi State dropped to Quad 2. And Im not trying to diminish Auburn's season. Just correcting the Quad 1 number.

But it's important to note that since I first wrote that Auburn could lose out and still be the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Tigers haven't just lost two games but have also gone from 16 Q1 wins to 15 Q1 wins because Mississippi State dropped out of the top 30 of the NET. In other words, Auburn doesn't even have as many Q1 wins this Sunday as it had last Sunday because sometimes Q1 wins can become Q2 wins, and vice versa, simply by some computer numbers changing overnight.

It seems to have mattered to some. You seem to be taking it hard.
"Judging by Quad 1A victories, no team in college basketball has won more big games this season than Auburn.
But the Tigers are currently tied, at nine, with their biggest rival — Alabama."
"Auburn is 9-3 in Quad 1A games, and Alabama is close behind at 9-5." That's 9-4 and 10-5 now.
"While Alabama head coach Nate Oats said Friday that there wasn’t much more to play for but pride, Pearl and his Auburn team see things differently.
A win over Alabama would give Auburn a 28 overall victories and 16 SEC victories in the regular season. Both of those would set new program records, breaking ties with the 2021-22 team led by Jabari Smith and Walker Kessler.
“That's certainly notable,” Pearl said. “Got a chance to sweep Alabama, which is difficult to do, but let alone difficult to do when they're a top-five team in the country. Obviously, to be able to do that, we're going to have to play great basketball. We played one of our best games in Tuscaloosa.”
"From the moment the SEC unveiled its conference schedule for the season, this game was circled on everyone’s calendars. It’s been rare for Auburn and Alabama to play on a Saturday, let alone the final Saturday of the regular season."
"A win for Auburn would turn Neville Arena to an all-out party. Students have been camping out for days. It’s the last time anyone will see this historic team play at home. It’s also the final home game for several seniors, including National Player of the Year candidate Johni Broome.
“It’s going to be an emotional game,” Broome said Friday. “Auburn’s been good to me. This is my last time ever playing in Neville, in front of the crowd, in front of the Jungle. It’s going to be fun, though. But kinda like a bittersweet moment, especially against Alabama.”
