One of my favorites. My god, that defense. Thanks for bringing this up - way less retarded OP than your usual work.

1. You original statement about when they moved ahead was false.
2. Alabama started the season ranked ninth and TAMU started the season ranked seventh (the preseason poll actually has the largest element of “luck” to it). By week seven, the consensus was that Alabama was the better team and it stayed that way the rest of the season. That’s only luck in the sense that everything in life has a large element of luck or chance to it.

They're the same height, so you've got that going for you!

TAMU was never ranked higher than #4 all season. You are pushing a weird narrative.

I admit I assumed you were insinuating that Alabama jumped TAMU late in the season, because it makes no sense to bring up a team moving ahead of another team before the halfway point in the season and staying ahead of them the rest of the year as an example of “luck”. From now on, I’ll just assume your posts are stupid and irrelevant.

Southern Miss was still a good program back then.

They lost to LA Tech in 1999. Then they beat Spurrier twice and won the SEC.

That team was recruited by Bill Curry.

He went 3-0 against Tennessee and 2 of those games were blowouts over top 10 teams.

His career head coaching record was 93-128-4 and he had a losing record everywhere except at Alabama.

Y'all are missing the point. A Vol talking smack about Bill Curry says more about UT than it does him considering he was their daddy.

Completely different era of football. 17 points was alot back then.
