Alabama was unlucky to qualify for the SECCG

I don’t think it would benefit any 10-2 SEC team to have played Georgia today. Alabama was the “unlucky” team to make the SECCG

I think the committee will leave Alabama out. Sankey won’t be happy but that was a bad loss (seen by the entire country)

I think they’d expose any of the 10-2 SEC teams

A&M losing last week hurt Alabama, the Tide would be a stone cold lock at 10-2

I’m not sure now

Maybe we can finally get rid of the SECCG now. Completely unnecessary and a potential playoff killer for an otherwise deserving team.

They won't leave Alabama out. They will move Georgia up.

It could almost be overlooked if Bama hadn't looked like crap since the beginning of November. The offense never showed back up after the bye week, and there's simply no way to ignore it.

It didn’t serve a purpose last year either. Texas was a lock no matter what. Georgia was a lock (unless they got blown out, then they’d be questionable especially with the hurt QB).

At the same time this team gets worse every week. That was a pathetic effort. Not sure they deserve a spot after that shitshow. Grubb sucks.

It killed their season, that's for sure.

They can move Georgia to #2. Won’t matter much, I guess that just means they’ll choose to host in Atlanta (big ten champ will certainly choose the Rose Bowl)

They did better that time they skipped it and rested while their coach made the talk show circuit whining about how unfair the world was treating them, and groveling for a spot.

I'm just gonna have to ignore this forum tonight, but I'll lay it out one last time.

Alabama has played one of the toughest schedules in football and had only 2 losses. They have beat more ranked teams than probably any other school.

Georgia is a 1 loss team, their only loss was to Alabama @ home.

What happened on the field today will be seen as a sign of Georgia's strength, not Alabama's weakness. Because Alabama has shown it's ability to do everything else multiple times this year against good teams, with the only exception being the opening game.

You can have knee jerk reactions to the final game of the year if you want, but this is the reality.

I’m not knee jerking, but I think the committee will

SECCG is becoming a burden for teams and it’s crazy to see that

All SoS is a burden. It highlights the system is terrible.

I mean in no way should we actually be talking about Alabama playing for the national championship. But since they make the criteria 12 teams and all that crap, then Alabama is clearly a top10 team.

Not a championship contender, but a solid top10 team.

Just because you create 12 playoff spots doesn't mean you create 12 championship contenders. It means you threw a bunch of filler teams in there to create content and increase viewership in TV.

I thought you'd already said it 'one last time?'

The SECCG needs to go. Does more damage to conference teams than helps. A conference simple cannot eliminate its own teams from playoffs; or possibly injure players in a game that means nothing in the national title picture.
