Seriously, how many Arkansas threads has he made in the last few days?

I guess it is to be expected when you are everyone's big game of the year, sigh.

No, he is just replying in a thread you keep making to convince yourself. If everyone was calling for a blowout you would not keep making threads like this. You feel threatened.

You're looking WAY to much into this. I made a thread about the matchups in this game and even gave Arkansas an advantage in some areas other Bama fans didn't. What exactly have I said in this thread that makes you think otherwise?

Alabama RB's vs Arkansas D Line + LB's - Bama

Going off what we saw last year I'd call that even, otherwise agree.

I agree to a point but it's a give a take. If Arky puts 7 or 8 in the box like they did in the 1st and 4th last year I'd expect a similar outcome. We couldn't catch the ball on 3rd down in the 1st and we only threw one pass for 18 in the 4th. Bama basically took a knee in the 4th running between the tackles with Grant, a 3rd string back. 16 for 30 and I think we went 3 and out every time other than the first possession.

Don't get me wrong I think this will be a great game and I picked Arky to upset Bama back in January. If they do it will be because they're a lot more balanced on D this year. We your WR and TE Mallet will get his yards the question is will they get enough.

I'm sorry but giving up 130 yards rushing is not "shutting down" anything. I dont care if one play consisted of almost half of that yardage, that is still yardage that your D gave up.

Compared to what you did to other teams on the ground, yea you could call it "shutting down"

That is completely beside the point, because we did not have to use the run last year because Mcelroy carved your DBs up. If one thing is working, why resort to something else? And again, 130 yards rushing is not "shutting down" our running game, no matter how you try to spin it.

Are you not the one who drug in your stats against Florida and Texas to legitimize your running game?

You tried to get a running game going and couldn't. Now you are trying to spin it. 41 rushes 24 passes. Doesn't sound like you abandoned the run to me.

Bama played 1 min of the 4th and took a knee running up the gut 16 for 31 with a 3rd string back the rest of the way. The game was over with 14mins in the 4th. take a look...

We kept running the ball in an effort not to let Arky's gameplan dictate the pace of the game. Petrino was willing to concede the pass to tempt us into throwing all afternoon so we wouldn't kill the clock and the Arky offense could get the ball more and try to force a shootout. So we kept running the ball against an 8 man box simply to kill clock and keep play action effective. The pass was there pretty much whenever it was needed.

I rewatched last years game the game the other day, and you guys really didn't Blitz much at all. You guys were just getting pressure with a 4 man rush. Our O-Line is much better this year and you guys don't have Cody so i don't see you getting pressure like that again, but i think you will get pressure from time to time, but Mallett will get his yards and TD passes. It will be close game IMO.
