Birmingham airport ASOS just reported at 0146z or 8:46 pm CDT a peak wind gust of 58 knots which equals 67 mph. winds were from 250 degrees or WSW. Thunderstorm in vicinity of airport moving towards the Northeast.

i was 5 and lived in Jax. or chattanooga. i think jax though. maybe that was one of the hurricanes we evacuated for?

Opal is the reason why I cant sleep through this shite anymore. Ripped the roof off of our porch and scattered all kind of crap from my dads building throughout the woods behind our house.
