Let's look at the National Total Pass Defense Rankings of the teams he played:

Not 1 passing D in the top 50. WOW.

You're still trying this crap?
quote:You can go back and do conference only any year and there are always teams like that in the top 10 or 25.
According to your stats, the #1 passing defense in college is West Virgina.
Followed by Army and Kent St.
The point you are missing or too slow to get is that the SEC has never had passing defenses this bad even if you filter out cupcake games.
Why is that so hard for you to understand?
It's not that Army and West Virginia have better/more talented defenses than the SEC.
It's that relative to talent level in each conference the SEC is historically bad. WHEW. You are fricking slow. You're wearing me out.

So you're either
A. Admitting you only want to go by the statistics that favor your team or
B. Admitting that this is a joke season because Army, WVU and Kent St. are top defensive teams
Or C. Pointing out that raw stats in any year are pretty stupid.
It does that shite all the time because it thinks passing for 300 yards against Georgia is equal to throwing for 300 yards against UTSA. It has 0 adjustments for opponent strength.
But hey, go ahead and tell me why you think Kentucky is the best passing defense in the SEC, and why the SEC doesn't have a single other team in the top50.
Let's go ahead and see just how stupid some of you LSU fans will get to avoid the truth.

You need to give this up. You have posted this colossally bad take multiple times, and it is just truly moronic. Yes 2019 had more talent overall at WR, but that is it. The OL is better, the running game is better, and the D as mediocre as it is is worlds better.
Notice how LSU started playing better as a team after all the opt outs. It isn’t always about talent.

Because I would like to get that on record. I want to see LSU fans tell me how they have the 127th passing defense in college football this year, while still claiming to be a good program.
I believe some of you would claim your mother was your daddy just to avoid the truth.

Well you're an idiot because the defense is better than last year
Against the only 2 good offenses y’all have played you have given up 48 and 46 respectively

and the offense is doing better than last year
Against worse competition firstly.
Secondly, y’all have played zero good passig defenses and the only good total defense you have played is Notre Dame and your Offense did significantly worse against them

This is so insane to me that people actually believe this Bama team had a better season than 2019 LSU.

Jones would have been on the bench his whole career if his competition was:
Trevor Lawrence
Fields
Burrow
M Stafford
C Newton
Russel Wilson
Philip Rivers
Lamar Jackson
The list would go on an on.

So, now that we got THAT OUT OF THE WAY (took you long enough).
Let’s get back to my part deux.
Which set of teams had full rosters?
I know it’s new to you. But which set of teams that 2019 LSU beat, vs 2020 bama had 85?
You can trash that stat all you want, stat-man.
And I’m not really asking you to provide me each indifitual number like Kentucky’s 34 men.
But take a flyer at which schools had at least 75 players.
Just a flyer.

No, not silly, shows the difference in competition. If you’re discussing best season ever, might want to include the level of competition, including those pass Defenses the QBs went up against.

You don't understand the PFF do you? They damn sure aren't using lame arse stats like those LSU fans cite.
I noticed you didn't want to claim to believe the stats were accurate. Just skipped right over that part.
Tell me how you're a dumbass who thinks Kentucky has the best passing defense in the SEC and that no other SEC team has a passing defense in the top50.

Anyone who uses time of game rankings for any purpose is just someone trying to paint a false picture.
Unless you are just trying to point out how over-rated they were when you played them.

Man that posts image with stats on it talks shite about stats. Maybe you should just stick with your "SEC RANT IS TIGER BOARD" schtick.

I'm pretty confident that the majority of games Alabama played had similar numbers of available players on both sides. The only game in which the numbers were reported to be low was the Kentucky game.
I get it, you are one of the majority of people here who just want to cherry pick stats (mostly others work) that back your opinion.
I don't. But I do call out stats that are misleading or idiotic, or people that are trying to act like something they are presenting is impressive while not knowing/realizing that the counter-argument will have a very similar looking resume.
Sorry that hurts your feelings, I know Willy worked really hard on that graphic and you like using it.

You just gotta be really stupid or really desperate to believe these stats are accurate.
That's really what it boils down to. Georgia has the 85th best defense? You truly think that is true?
