You are confused. Laws trump “NCAA rules”. Laws in Texas state that any player can get paid by anyone as long as it’s not the school.

The NCAA can’t require a school to enforce “rules” that break laws.
Type slower, your audience is mostly Bammers.

aTm is not going to sue the NCAA or the SEC, they'll simply fall in line like every other member institution does.

The premise was assuming that the SEC kicked us out for following the laws. Under that scenario they would have to sue.

Good Lord, WHAT DO YOU NOT GET? Geez Christmas. Saban in fine, totally fine, fine, with NIL and players on the team getting paid. He has ZERO PROBLEM.
And hasn't had a problem with it for more than a decade now. That is the point, isn't it.

The fact that you think Saban is not paying players to come to Alabama is hilarious. Players will choose other schools that are paying over alabama if Alabama is not paying. It happened last year. It is not happening this year.

It’s not a coincidence that A&M hauled in 8 5 stars last year. It’s also not a coincidence that other schools are not letting that happen again this year. Everyone is paying, and if you believe otherwise you are delusional.

Alabama figured out years ago to put money into the program itself as a way to "pay" players.

Best facilities in college football. Best coaches in college football. A much higher chance for the players to make it into the NFL, where Alabama players have made over 1 billion dollars in the past 12 years.

You have to pay players to take them away from that, not to get them to come to that.

The NCAA said no one at Bama could have known, there was no lack of institutional control and the NCAA labeled Young as "rogue".
The NCAA agreed no one in the administration knew about it ... but, they firmly believed the coaching staff knew about it. And, the admin was not overseeing the coaching staff adequately. That's why they hammered Alabama.

PS - Everyone in the SEC knew the rumors that Means was for sale. It's why I assumed the rumors must be false ... otherwise, Alabama would be committing NCAA suicide. And, I didn't believe the people at Alabama would be that stupid. I was wrong.

When you get preferential treatment, you become more and more blatant about it.

As I stated before, that's why they had to make it legal. It was so blatant that it could no longer be swept under the rug and have anyone with a functioning brain believe it.

Sorry. But, voluntary compliance with NCAA rules & voluntarily accepting penalties for not complying does not break any law.

The one not receiving preferential treatment.

Next question.

Sure. Recruits at Bama just go because they want to play for Saban. NIL money and income is never discussed at all.

They just sign on and figure they will wait until they enroll to see if any NIL money is available.

Sure....

bullshite. The 100% intent of NIL was to make legal that which was so rampant it could no longer be hidden.

No. In fact, they specifically say it was NOT that.

Well of course they're going to say that. You can't possibly be this naive. Oh, wait, you're a Bammer. Nevermind.

I am a mathematician. If Bama would have had one or two years of success I would believe this. But many schools have all these advantages. Statistically speaking it’s more likely that Bama cheated than they happened to win fairly as many times as they have.

Just the law of numbers.

No. They want to go to the NFL ... and Saban sends 5* players to NFL 1st round at a higher rate than any other D1 program.

You say this like I haven't stated multiple times in this topic that everyone is cheating.

Who's arguing? 1+1=2. I don't make up the rules. I'm just telling you what they are.

As a Bammer I can understand that you would like to believe the playing field is level and everyone plays by the rules. Because if you didn't, you'd have to admit your championships are tainted. Why would you willingly accept that?

You sound like Trumpers desperately trying to convince themselves that the God Emperor is on our side.
