This is what every athlete should say. I wish athletes could just perform. I wish singers would sing. Actors would act.

I don't care, nor do I want to hear about any of their political views. I can make up my own mind about politics and politicians. I don't need their guidance, nor do I need their advice concerning politics.

No Trump. Literally the most ignorant POTUS in U.S. history by a YUGE margin.

Dude doesn't read, has the attention span of a nat, and the iq of a tomato can. And that is on a good day. On bad days he is a rambling illiterate incomprehensible a-hole.

Minor threats. Both are too incompetent to be serious threats.

I don't either. But they should feel free to express their views.

They should also understand that most people do not care what they think.

I could care less what any player at the game thinks about who is in the crowd. At the same time, they should feel free to answer a question, ignore a question or make a smart-arse comment.

Oh, they do feel free. That's been proven way too many times. And when they do, I feel free not to buy their music or go to their movies.

Seriously doubt it. His Twitter is only semi literate even using the same small words saying the same thing over and over and over.

I get that, but honestly, I do not choose music or movies off of what an actor or singers politics are.

If anything, to me, the bigger issue is the way we put some of these folks on a pedestal for doing a job. In my view, actors are just very convincing liars. That is their job. I care about what they think just as much as I do about the guy who cleans my chimney.

I mean I think Cat Stevens has batshit crazy views of the world, but I still love cats in the cradle.

I was about the point out that it's Harry Chapin, but Google tells me Cat Stevens apparently covered it.

LOL I honestly do not know.

I guess that is kind of the point. I like the song, the singer matters very little to me.

Understood. And that's ok. However, they are telling us we should make a politicians views an issue, so I will make their views an issue if they choose to make it an issue. As I said...I don't care what their views are. It is not an issue until they make it an issue.

The other poster was correct. Harry Chapin made "Cat's in the Cradle" Cat Stevens did "Wild World" and several other hits you would probably be familiar with.

Like Is aid...if they don't make it an issue, then neither do I.
