For losing 2 conference games. Now they can win out and not have to play in the conference championship

Yeah, but we lost to Vandy. Don't gete wrong, Vandy is good and will likely finish 7-5, maybe 8-4, but still.

I’m not sure strategy or “smarts” played into their two losses but that’s the way to look at the bright side.

They lose a shot at a bye week though unless they have the tiebreaker with another 2 loss SEC team. If you make the game you are in the playoff already (98% chance) with a chance for a bye week and top 4 seed.

Missing the SEC would be a bye week. Florida will definitely have a bye week on Dec. 7.
