Marcel Dareus is kinda like Julio, overrated. Both will also be busts in the NFL.

I have told you countless times what I believe over rated means in terms to his performance. For some reason you are stuck on "predictions" and "numbers" because you believe they add value or substance to an argument. The fact you are a bandwagon fan we can over look, I mean based on your predictions you probably have Alabama undefeated and beating every team by 30 points. That is what a good bandwagon fan does and you are proving how great you are on that bandwagon. Of course we know if Auburn out performs Alabama this year you would have always been an Auburn fan.

1) You haven't told me once how you think he'll perform this year, numbers wise. You've backed down countless times because you are afraid you'll be proven wrong later on.

2) I made no such prediction that we'd go undefeated, and in fact said we may even drop a couple of games. Stick to the topic instead of making up things. You're getting desperate and reaching at this point.

Dude just give it up. Marcell is a little overated. He hasn't really done anything.

The stats prove it.

Then it should be easy to quantify how he'll underperform this year, no? What you thinking, 4 sacks and a 5th rounder?

What is your obsession with numbers? Do you believe they add value to anything? The fact you are still think it is courageous to post something on a message board shows you do not live within the real world. You are a full hardcore bandwagon fan and you are looking for something to say how great a fan you are. It really is pathetic and you really should seek out help.

Desperation becomes you though, look how desperate you are. I mean it literally bothers you that predictions have not been made and you are angry. You are a typical Gump, you are a bandwagon fan and like I said that is ok. You can make all the predictions you want to show how great of a fan you are and how you believe you are a better fan that others.

3rd round pick at best. He needs to work on his lateral quickness and spin moves. His strength is also an issue NFL scouts worry about.

Look at you getting riled up. Take a deep breath, go to the mall and buy yourself a brand new Ed Hardy shirt. You'll feel better.

I do think Alabama is one of the weaker and more questionable preseason #1's in a while. I think receiving 55 1st place votes had a lot more to do with there not really being any other team to put there than it does with Alabama returning a dominant team like an 09 Florida or some of the past USC teams.

Riled up? Why because I hit the nail on the head about you? I think you need help, that is all, you seem to take this message board a little to serious.

There you go. Care to wager on that? "At best" is a pretty strong phrase. I'll take the under.

FWIW Bobby Greenwood had the same amount of sacks in a season that Marcell Dareus had last year and he went undrafted.

But seriously, calm down pal. I think you're going to bust a vein in your forehead. Me and ACL are talking (the guy not afraid to make a prediction).

Go get yourself another tribal tat and sit this one out.

As for Dareus, the NFL does not care about college stats any more than a college recruiter cares about high school stats.

All they look at is body type and tangible numbers that can lead to potential.

Why was Clausen drafted so low? Most of the NFL scouts thought he had already reached his max potential.

Dareus reminds me somewhat of Tyson Jackson. He is not going to put up 14 sacks, but he does exactly what you want in a 3-4 end.

He is a lock for 1st round, likely top 15 because of the position he plays.

...and you never heard me once say a word about Bobby Greenwood being a 1st day pick, so I'm not sure what one has to do with the other.

So you agree, Marcell Dareus won't be a 1st day pick.

Glad we could get this figured out.

I disagree with you. $50 on it? Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll get hurt or something.

Deaderick and Washington weren't exactly all-stars bro. Davis/Chapman/Dareus is not a huge dropoff from Deaderick/Cody/Washington. Well...not a huge dropoff in talent anyways lol.

Hightower is a better athlete than McClain was. Before he was injured he was the best pass rusher Bama had. McClain was the better linebacker due to inredible instincts of which Hightower couldn't match. He'll get his chance to show just how well he fills McClain's shoes this season though.

All in all, while they don't have the starting experience that last front seven had, the new front seven is athleticially superior to 09 squad. That doesn't necessarily mean they will have more success. The secondary is the true issue of the defense and while it's stocked full of talent, there is little experience. Basically it's just a huge question mark right now whether the secondary will be a "weakness" or not.
