At the end of most years there is still a debate about what woulda happened if this team got in instead of another.

UGA would have easily beaten LSU in 07. They had the same record and appeared to be the better team.

In 08 UT could claim the championship just as much as UF they both beat OU about the same and ended with the same record etc.

undefeated seasons, confrence championships etc are not judged by pollsters or computers.

Except that UGA team couldn't even beat that "weakass" Tennessee team to win their division.

Yall are arguing about one of the most inherently subjective topics possible, comparing teams cross eras over 30+ years to determine their current overall "place" in CFB.

so, let's say that boise st., with their weak-arse schedule, lucks into a couple of bsc national championship games in the next 10 or so years and wins--they would be considered an elite program?

2 championships do not make elite--they make you really good for a few years...you need a little history to back up the elite status..

exactly you didn't exactly blow Tenn out either and there was this little overtime game with UK that you didn't come out with a W.

It was still a great season for LSU 12 wins and a SEC title is a great season, but it wasn't undefeated.

AU in 04 didn't win the BCS, but there season was more accomplished and impressive than LSU 07 and 03.

Take away the Navy and the British Empire would have been a small island nation.

Take Rome away from the Roman Empire and what do you have? NOTHING.

FSU and PSU are complete shite if you take away Bowden/Paterno.

First, they didn't have the same record. And 11-2 with an SEC Championship >>> 10-2 with no SEC Championships. Second, your opinion of who was better means shite. I heard the same thing about UGA going into the SECCG in 2003 and UGA got their asses handed to them by LSU. In 2007, LSU won the division and won the conference. UGA didn't win it's own division. You don't get a shot at the title if you can't win your own division.

Bottom line is there is no debate, no matter how hard you try. 2003 was disputed. 2007 was not.

so by Boise winning 2 NCs they are immediately on par with LSU, thats the argument here?

This may be one of the worst flame threads I have read. I am not a fan of Alabama football but to say it is not elite is stupid.

- Bama had their own damn show on ESPN

- Their facilities are among the best

- BDS makes Tiger Stadium look like a shite hole.

- Bama had a perfect season, heisman trophy winner and national championship in the same season.

I could go on but I know that there have been enough people to tell you that you are dumb by now.

My brother had his first child, named it after me. I also made a trip to Dallas to be with a bunch of girls and catch the World Series.

How you been?
