Sure, but isn't like they went out and outspent elite programs and got players that everyone else was wanting, generally. Most of their players weren't on the radars of elite programs.

Meanwhile, Missouri is out here flipping Auburn commitments.

No, they were just 25 years old.

Auburn has had many top 10 recruiting classes. The vast majority won nothing of significance.

Bama has 37 players on the roster who were ranked in the top 100 when they came out, good luck catching up, and lose wery few after this year

How close was that trash arse program in Auburn in making the playoffs?

And yet Bama, all the way at 68, has a higher Average Recruit Ranking.
Auburn must be bringing in some incredible talent this cycle.

What a embarrassment for the tide fanbase. Here you said that your recruiting wouldnt fall off from Saban and that Kalen Deboer would pick up where he left off. Yeah right!
65th in recruiting!
eta: 72nd LINK
By the way Missouri fans are glad for the flip from Auburn to Missouri.

Looks like we do, based on the metrics 247 uses (you yourself linked to their rankings in response to Saint).

The idea that the guys Cignetti bought weren’t sought after by the big boys is exactly why the SEC hasn’t been in a Natty game in 3 years. The SEC became incredibly lazy with using the star system and bagmen to just buy highly ranked high school players. They have been slow to adjust to this new era. Cignetti took a bunch of guys not even on the radar and spanked everyone. Literally, spanked all those high star kids at Bama.
Sure, you still need to recruit highly ranked kids but the reality is it’s a crapshoot whether than 4 star freshmen or sophomore is as good as that 2 or 3 star senior that no one even looked at until now. It’s now about who is best at evaluation instead of just who is best at buying. Cignetti is a legend for what he did in such a short period of time.

still waiting for all the “DuBoser got to the CFP championship game with mid talent at UW, just wait til he gets ahold of all those top 100 players at Bama” smack talk to come to fruition
