Yet, this team playing in its stride with a healthy Waddle is on par with 2019 LSU. The Bama offense may be better due to OL play making it less dependent on Burrow's improvisation and heroics. The defenses are likely a wash, as are STs.
Broken Tua was no match for 2019 LSU. Healthy Waddle coupled with the trio of Mac, Najee, and Smith with 4 yrs each of CFB experience likely is.
But, it's all speculation.

Some factors Alabama 2020 and LSU 2019
Alabama plays fewer games; fewer chances for the unexpected including injuries
No away crowds; that must make it easier.
Covid sit outs; crap shoot
LSU with three one score games
SEC was a bit down this year with several new coaches and some on their last legs

Y’all are so damn worried about 2019 being surpassed you spend all of your time discounting what Alabama has done so far. I’ve said it before and y’all keep proving me correct. LSU has the biggest inferiority complex when it comes to Alabama football. It kills y’all that Alabama has the historical success not just against LSU but college football as a whole, more national titles than any team in CFB history. Y’all are desperately clinging to 2019 like CFB ended and 2019 will never be surpassed. It will and there’s nothing fans can do about it.

Alabama fans: welllll if this happened then LSU would be a 4 loss season. bullshite. LSU was god awful. We were going to lose to 1 or 2 of our cupcakes.

I mean, LSU sucked this year but with its original schedule it probably goes 8-4 and is borderline ranked at the end of the year.

You couldn’t be more wrong. My issue is that some are saying greatest season ever strictly due to the 10 SEC game schedule. Ok. Well 7 of those teams had losing records. Auburn and LSU biggest Alabama rivals had some of the worst football play in 15 years.

Not melting. Trying to legitimately understand how you can say this is greatest season. It’s a solid season. Alabama defense is suspect. Let’s see them get past Clemson and ND. Don’t think Ohio has snow balls chance.
