Alabama fans seem content to let Tennessee alone carry the fight.

I mean to see so many Alabama fans cry about how tough UNC is and how Alabama has no chance, it seems the Tide faithful would rather move on. On the other hand Tennessee is chomping at the bit to carry the fight for the SEC. Just saying.

Bama sports across the board have no chest anymore. Saban leaving was a death knell.

I think our best 3 point shooter likely being out really hurts...needed all hands on deck.
But no pressure... I'm happy with a Sweet 16 this season. Anything else is gravy.

Anything can happen in the tournament. I gave Arkansas zero chance to beat Kansas last year until they did.

I absolutely want Alabama to win Thursday night. I think they have a chance, but I consider North Carolina the better team and the favorite. Going into the tournament I didn’t expect Alabama to survive the first weekend, so that’s why I’m not going to be all up in arms if they lose. I think they’ve accomplished a lot considering the pieces they lost from last year, their defensive struggles and some of the injury issues they’ve had.

So the same attitude Vandy has going into every football game? There's always a chance, but the reality is, some teams are better than yours. It's why some teams are a #1 seed and some teams are a #4 seed.

Kentucky beat UNC. It’s Oakland that we can’t. Seriously, anything can happen. You can beat UNC. Go beat those sticky footed bastards.

UNC is a 4.5 point fav. But it is out west, so no home court type advantage. Most Bama fans think we have overachieved this year, our top big defensive men all left at one time except for Pringle.
Can we beat UNC? Of course, we beat them last year 103-101 in OT so that gives these players some confidence, no doubt. UNC is by no mean unbeatable, they lost to N. C. State, in the ACC Tourney, to Georgia Tech Villanova and Syracuse (all bad teams or not NCAA tourney teams) and of course to Clemson, Kentucky and UCONN.
My prognosis of the game is different from most. I think Bama went down hill late in the season because they are taking rushed 3 point shots too many time instead of looking for the extra pass. This gives other teams more chances to go down low and get us in foul trouble. We should only run when we have the numbers, we should run our offense and try to get back door lay ups or open threes.
If we run and gun as usual we will lose unless we are hot, then we can beat anyone, as people saw throughout the year. This team seems to want to jack up bad threes before the defense is set, but that means before we have rebounders in place, if we slow it down a wee bit, I think we have a better shot. But UNC is favored for a reason, they are a better team. But, we were favored vs. San Diego St. last year and lost, so who knows.
