Reminds me very much of when Franchione left to go to A&M after spouting all of that "Hold the rope!" bullshite. How do you get players to buy in and be loyal to you when you have demonstrated that you yourself have no loyalty? "Why would you want to play for that guy? He walked out on his team and ruined the best season of their lives," is going to be used against him from now until the end of time. Maybe he's good enough to overcome that and still win, it's a much more mercenary sport than it was twenty years ago, but that's going to be the narrative. We shall see.
