Maybe this is a sign to not take this shite so seriously?
You're a fan, it's supposed to be all fun for you

I'm in chill mode up until game day.
Then My buddy Jack D keeps me company
But full of anxiety. With all the
Guys we lost this was unexpected. Next year was more predictable so even if we lose the loss want sting as bad. Happy to be here

It's sad really. I don't get nervous over any games anymore, nowhere like I use to and don't know when it stopped.
How old are you?

it kinda feels like playing with house money. Excited as hell to be here but won’t be devastated if we lose.

The only Natty game that I can remember being nervous and really worried in the days leading up to the game was the 2018 game I think it was. Tua was hurt along with the whole defense just about it. Bama done a great job just to make it to that game but in the week leading up to that game I just had a sick feeling all week. Other than that game then I would have to go all the way back to the Texas Natty game that I can remember just being super nervous all week before the game.

I know all of this is going to end soon. So being able to see this run in my lifetime is really something special. I used to have anxiety before games, now I'm relaxed, nervous Yeah but I have a calm confidence that Nick has left no stone unturned he's got it..lol

It's far easier to deal with the ups and downs when "we will win it all next year" is typically accurate

Would you rather UGA not be in this game and therefore you arent nervous? Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

With all your success, do you still get this way as fans or is it just routine now?

Absolutely. Don't feel bad. This year isn't so bad because I didn't 'expect' for Bama to be back at the dance.

It's incredibly difficult to weave through the SEC (especially west) schedules. The odds of getting to the national championship is tough.

Be proud your team has made it. No flukes, no issues (other than internal fan-made about Stets vs JT) - they've marched straight through to the end. Huge accomplishment.

My brother, smartest man I know, who received his doctorate from Alabama can't even watch the games for the stress. Doesn't matter who you are.

This year is pure gravy IMO. In a reload year after losing a lot from last year + random injuries and we've seen some young guys step up to the plate and produce big time.

For an up 'n down season it's nice to see Saban's second worst team at Bama make it back to the NC game. Win or lose Monday night, it's all gravy from here on out.

(Get off my lawn edition)

I still get excited. But not like when I was young. 78 & 79 and then especially 92 were dance around the room shouting exciting.

Older, still excited, but tend to get aggravated during the game if things not going well, tho I may have woke the entire neighborhood when Tua went 2nd & 26 to Smitty.

Winning never gets old, but it changed as I did. I appreciate what it takes to get there more. Less of a rush in the moment, but more satisfying.

That 92 title I was about 16. It was the first title Bama had won in my lifetime I was old enough to celebrate it and know what was going on. Needless to say I about blew the roof off the house I was so loud. That was a fun night.

Growing up, I lived across the street from Tommy Lewis. (The BAMA player who jumped of the bench and tackled a Rice player running down the sideline for a score). During games, you could hear him from anywhere in the neighborhood, raising hell! Great man and a great memory.

If you can't take the pressure then cheer for Vandy.

Yeah I’d be stressed no matter who we played, it could be freaking Tulsa. I was at Bama for the Shula years though and only two of Saban’s so it could just be permanent trauma/PTSD.

Not at all nervous. Will probably not watch the game, get some rest and wake up to a victory the next morning.

Not this one. After 4th qtr Auburn then showing up like they did in the UGA. House money.

Honestly during the Auburn game in my head I was thinking fine, I'll take sitting through an arse whooping from Georgia next week, just pull a win out of your arse here and I'll be happy.

Honestly, I never got nervous at all the whole 2019 season. I knew for a fact we were going to win it all after the Texas game. I knew we were going to beat Bama and all that.

All of the Bama fans I know IRL seem to be very relaxed as if they're almost not expecting to win ... it's just house money and they know they could easily not be here too. What's another NC to them really? Sure, they enjoy it when it happens but most of them just take it in stride now. None of them seemed to be upset for more than a couple of days over the 2018 season when Clemson beat them.

However, all of the Georgia fans I know are crazy nervous as if somehow their life is going to change after winning a NC. It won't. You get a high for a few weeks, you get to talk some shite, your other team fans will say congrats but ignore your bullshite and then that's it, it's time for spring football after that and you're involved in the next season. Once the new season starts, no one gives a frick about your team winning a NC last year.

The added pressure of preserving 1980 doesn’t help.
