Cyrus Jones 1810-1913 made his great grandbabies believe they could live to 103. 103 is forever when you're just a little kid. Cyrus Jones lived forever.

The reason that Nick Marshall's citation went on and on for pages is because he just been to schools talking against the use of drugs, and then being caught with marijuana.
If Cyrus Jones or any of these players want to throw away their futures and everything that they have worked for all the years over a little dope or not being able to control their anger, then so be it. They should be gone as far as I am concerned.
I hate it, but they should be able to make better decisions than this. I hate the "youth" excuse also, because if you're old enough to fight for your country, then you are old enough to be accountable for your mistakes. These guys need to man up.

he must not have been with many women if he's never been in a situation like this.

I know, but these guys have got to remember that these girls know that they can hurt them if they want to, because this issue keeps coming up. You cheat on me, and I'll scream DV, or get mad at me and I'll call the cops. I'm just saying, "guys be more selective in your type of women". These girls can hurt you for life. I hope it was worth it.

they are 18-22 year old young men and very attractive women throw themselves at these guys on a daily basis. And guess what, they don't tell you right away that they are crazy. they don't have a tattoo saying "CRAZY" on their forehead. it usually takes an incident like this before you realize, oh lawd, this bish is crazy AF.
how selective were you at that age?

Domestic violence has become a catch all crime. If you get into a fight with your housemate/roommate, you get domestic 3. If you argue too loudly with your girlfriend you get domestic 3. Crap that used to get passed off as the stuff that happens has become highly criminalized. IF the guy's smart he will hire an attorney and get the charges dropped or reduced. If he pleads guilty he won't ever be able to legally own a hand gun - thanks to Frank Lautenburg.
Sounds like she did something; he got angry and broke her phone and yelled at her. Basically destruction of property - but now "Domestic Violence."

How many games did Jalen Mills miss for beating up a woman and letting his gf take the fall? Oh that's right 0 games.

Oh so maybe we should hear the player's side before we judge. That's what all the LSU fans said last year about Mills. Hypocrites the lot of ya.

I wish these boys -- all players, regardless of team -- truly embraced the gift they have. My HS coach had a saying that he'd tell us after practice every day,"fellas, you're special, not privileged." Its corny, but the point is clear. Granted what young Jones did isn't some indicator that he's going to be a serial killer, but that little v-chip in his brain that says,"Cyrus, don't do this. Its wrong and its going to get splattered all over the media" clearly isn't working properly. I hope he --and his teammates, learn from this and Jones gets his act together quickly.
I-59 Tiger gets it...at least in my humble opinion.
I used to be guilty of silently enjoying when an opponent had discipline issues...but that is in the past.
When I watched a student I had known since he was elementary school, get kicked off the team by Saban, (Really by his own actions..I know), I quickly changed how I looked at these events.
The kid I knew had never been a problem in school or out. But he ruined an opportunity by his poor choice or choices. Could have been the first member of his family with a college degree.
I have little sympathy for the ones with an established pattern of bad behavior. But sometimes good kids make bad decisions that still have drastic consequences. Nothing to rejoice over when it happens at any school..at least not to me any longer.
