Yes they do. Go check out the stadiums in the SEC and you will see NCAA Regional appearances and CWS appearances on the outfield wall or somewhere in the stadium.

Not really sure what you are getting over. You hired your 7th choice as HC who has never won a single tournament game. He lost to a lower seed just last year

Between the entry fee, the Friday 8:30pm time slot, and no actual action on the court, this won’t be well attended.Anything for a quick buck I suppose

You are misremembering. BAMA basketball fans wouldn't take an either/or, approach to success. Regular season SEC Championships matter right along with being tourney Champs as well. (BAMA has accomplished both 2 times under Nate Oats) Being the number one overall seed for the Big Dance is an incredible accomplishment in BAMA Basketball history. Not everyone has pulled that one off. Being ranked number one during the season is an accomplishment for BAMA basketball.
It's never been about the final 4 or bust as the only measuring stick for success. We actually know enough about college basketball historically to find delight in being one of the big dogs during the season.

Just hope schools don’t start doing it for football with the playoff
Some (those with few actual national titles) might now that there is a 12 team playoff. I could see a team who had to play two rounds against very good competition to make it to the final 4 might want to celebrate that.
Obviously doing that in previous years would have been ridiculous - congratulations a committee picked you. But it will be a bit different now.

I thought it was stupid before we made the Final Four and I still think it's stupid now.
Only UConn should be raising a banner for the NCAA tournament.
