While true the program hasn’t recovered from Jim Wells retiring. He fake retired and then backed down when he thought someone from the outside was getting the job. That was the beginning of the decline.
I always wanted Bobby Pierce. He would’ve won at Alabama and we would’ve avoided Gaspard and Goff.
