So you are going with "they paid car notes like everyone else?"
Yes, it's the most monitored thing in all of college football. Maybe they get a better deal than most, but that's just life. I doubt they are signing up to play at a football team because they got a sweet deal on a used Dodge Charger.
Even before NIL kids could get between 20-25k every year in legal benefits. Not to mention them being eligible for student loans and such just like everyone else. They also get money for gas and all kinds of shite.
You pretty much have to be a fricking idiot to believe people are buying players with cars in the ez credit, inflation soaked era of the past 20 years. Hell even longer than that really.
I'm curious, what kind of shitty cars do you think LSU players have been driving?

I wasn't expecting a melt but suit yourself. Meanwhile bye Alabama.

The thread is taking a shot at how Bama used to be the only school paying players.
You make a comment about Bama using former players' NFL contracts as some sort of point to make within the thread
No different than a law school suing graduates first year salary after graduating.
I halfway think you are just trolling, there is no way you think that is a valid point

Maybe now that they've lowered the bar you can finally win one.

You literally make up narratives in order to deal with a reality you can't accept. Just the common dumbass who thinks "my team is the greatest team ever and the only way anyone can be better is if they cheat".

I tell you what. You tell me the reasons why the average recruit would have chosen LSU over Alabama during the Saban era before NIL. I'll wait.

Listen here clown. Both teams paid players. Bama generally paid more. And in case you forgot, Saban previously coached at LSU where he paid for some players there too.
And stop upvoting your own posts.

You really don't have a clue why Saban was successful at LSU and why LSU remained successful even after he left.
It does have to do with money, but you're completely clueless on how and where.

No, I am completely aware. Yes, Saban was a very good coach. Yes, he also paid players.
Yes, winning championships brought in more money. Yes, some of that money went to pay players.
I am not guessing about any of the above.
It is hilarious how naive you are.

You're an idiot. Players previously went to the schools that gave the the best value, and the best value before NIL was based on being developed for the NFL. Of which Nick Saban/Alabama did better than any other school by a wide margin.
When NIL started, the game changed from being developed and becoming an elite player to get paid in the NFL to players wanting immediate payouts without getting developed. And since the game is being dumbed down, they'll still probably make the NFL in some capacity.
And that's what we see, talented players who do not put in the work required to be elite. Not just at Alabama, but everywhere.
Personally, I hope Ohio St and Michigan take all the kids just looking for a paycheck. It doesn't generally work out well, like what happened to A&M after all that bragging they did after buying the #1 class. And if Texas thinks it wants to be in that, have at it.
The ole "bama never cheated" bla bla bla.... It is true you got the bama discount, but it still came with a price.

You are completely unaware, it has nothing to do with Saban being a good coach.
I'm just going to wait and see how long you keep guessing wrong before admitting you don't know what Saban did that changed LSU.
I gave you a hint, it does have something to do with money. And it was not after you won the national championship, it was when he was hired.
