Bingo it looked like Saban used the offense to test and confused the replacement parts on the number one D for the most part the first team did well maybe a 95 on a 100 scale.
Not sure we saw much from the starting O by design, but what do I know I am not an unbiased fan.

I came away being a little surprised with two things.
1. The 1st team defense beat the 1st team offense. I expect this to be a very good offense.
2. Yeldon is better than I expected. I thought he'd be pretty good, but he has the makings of a star. Granted, he wouldn't have fared so well against the 1st defense, but the talent is there.
Vinnie Badger is going to be a crowd favorite this year.

With more parts to replace on D the O did not really play down and distance, it seems as if Saban had the OC throw different looks at the D to test them in the battle of 1's vs 1's
the 2's ran a more bama like offense

Come SEC play, we'll have a better Offense than last year, and our defense should been on track by then. I say we lead the nation in rushing D, and scoring D. We'll be top three in passing D. I liked Ha-Ha, but Vinnie is literally a playmaker. He's our Honey Badger.

Possibly, but I doubt it.
In either case, the best offensive line we've had in forever (supposedly) couldn't budge the d-line.

Twice on 3rd and plus 8 he ran a draw to see how the d would react both times the play went for minimal gains
Saban is a defensive guy with a defense that has lost a handful of stars but if you think Nick is into fantasy stats
