Yep, some Gumps ...

Newsflash, the refs did not cost you the game...your inability to stop us going to the hoop is what cost you the game.

Oh, so much for that quality win you had this season...Purdue got crushed today vs Sparty

Your inability to stop us from going to the free throw line is what cost you the game.

U Mad.

Good game by Bama...but they lost on the court...not by the refs.

Oh, Cal is 3-1 vs Grant...so, I guess he can not coach

We were one stop away from putting real pressure on UK...but could never get that stop.

CAG needs to sit Mitchell down and play Steele and Gueye

In case it hasn't been said recently, screw Tony Mitchell. There was a thread on here recently about booing players...I wouldn't be against booing him when he's introduced in the starting lineup Saturday at home. He treats being a teammate like a joke.

ALA FT 18-25 REB 32 TO 14 ST 3 BLK 2 PF 27

KY FT 27-40 REB 30 TO 8 ST 9 BLK 9 PF 18

At Rupp, ALA had 9 more fouls called on them, but KY stole the ball 9 times and blocked 9 shots without fouling. Bama could only muster 2 blocks and three steals. Ky shot 15 more FTs and made 9 more. Bama outshot KY 48% to 43% from the floor, outrebounded Ky but got beat at the line.

It is hard to get a call at Rupp. I stand by my statement.

He's gone from bad to worse. It's a shame because he could really help the team if he played like he cared.

Yep but he's a lost cause. I hope coming back for his senior year isn't even an option.

Terrance Jones had been playing like crap. He went off today (15 points, 6 rebounds) because he was being guarded (a term I use loosely) by Mitchell. Green played hard and well (36 minutes) against talented players. Green had 22 with 12 rebounds. Mitchell played 20 minutes, had 6 points and 4 rebounds.

And fouled out with 4 minutes left in the game because he's a lazy defender.

Releford and Green showed up to play. UK just had more horses.

Exactly. He was giving Jones at least 5 feet of separation.

Wow, way to step up and contribute to the discussion.

To Jones credit he has been stepping up the past 4 games...esp. on defense and rebounds...is he elite like he was at times last year, NO...but he is contributing..

Yeah that recent Elite Eight and Final Four has been just miserable in Cal's 2 years.

You and your whiney arse cohorts* can GTFO. Bitching about officiating is just butthurt to the fullest.

*The reasonable Bama fans who are here talking basketball and not making excuses, good game and good luck in any game not facing us.

It's about championships at Kentucky bball wise, just like it is with us in football, and you haven't won shite since the Tubby days, and won't win anything with the one and done coach you have,it takes team chemistry to win a championship and his players don't stay around enough to develop any...

Deny it all you want but the facts are on my side...

Look, it is idiotic to compare ALA to KY in basketball. Cal is a great recruiter and an adequate floor coach but he is not winning games because of the plays he diagrams. He has had more talent than anyone in the field but has yet to win an NCAAC. He will never be considered an elite coach until he does.

Grant finally kept some talent in state but has a long way to go to make Alabama competitive on the national scene. Clear progress has been made but this team is underperforming while his previous teams have exceeded expectations.

I don't think KY wins it this year either, but if Cal can convince some guys to play for more than a year he has a shot to build a champion. Ky will lose 2 SEC games on the road, either at FL, at VY or at MSU.

Interesting...so remind me what year is Jones and Lamb?

Also, I see Kyle W. a 3 year player...and Cal just got a 4/5 star kid verbal yesterday who is not a one/done.

Yep, you're right...his "rolling out the ball" coach. You honestly think his "just let them play" style got that team to the Final 4. You think the defense is not a result of his coaching...you think Josh Harrelson used his "athletic" ability to be a stud last year...you are right, Cal can not coach a lick.

Actually agree with you...but Championship is not won in the SEC on the road in Jan and March...if the team continues to improve, then I will feel fine about our chances...and the team has still yet to peak yet (scary).

KY has to be one of the most talented teams in the country, but Cal only plays about 7 people. I think KY is deeper than that but Cal does not trust his depth. It will have to be developed if he wants to go far in the tournament.

Kinda like when we got to the final four last year only playing 6 guys? it's all about getting hot at the right time. Depth helps but its not the most important thing
