I was extremely skeptical about us winning today but they got it done. It was a fun game to be at.

I'd rather be a 5, 6, or 7 seed than a 4 seed. That adds another win

Dayton is winning 37-32 at half. It'd be great if they could hold on.

Dayton loses:(

Memphis lost earlier and Southern Miss is losing to Houston. It'd be nice for CUSA to be a one bid league.

I am here to eat crow boys.

After seeing that Bama defense today, if they can put together the slightest bit of scoring they will be good to go. My bad fellas. I hope y'all make it in. That defense was a thing of beauty.

I deserve that. No, seriously. If y'all can consistently make outside shots they will be tough to deal with if they keep up that defensive tenacity.

But seriously, if we can get Green and Mitchell back, we can be a good team.

Southern Miss did end up losing.

I don't know much about Mitchell ... but if he is a cancer to the team, just tell him to hit the road

He's a great talent when he plays hard and doesn't blame his teammates. He was that player for us last year. After puerto Rico this year, he went cancer mode.

Mitchell is by far the most talented kid on Bama's roster. If someone is advising him, surely they are telling him he is about to squander a tremendous future if he doesn't start to gee-haw with Grant. If he has to transfer, he loses this year and next.
If he and Bama had great run in the Tournament he could conceivably even get drafted this year. Otherwise, he will be lucky to play in Israel.

If Mitchell gets into the game early and has fun, he's a solid asset to the team. If he doesn't feel like he's getting enough touches, he starts to jack up unnecessary 3s with 25 seconds left on the shot clock. Or he tries to show everyone that he can play guard, which usually results in a turnover. Basically, he has a big ego, and it needs to be satiated early on for him to not spend the subsequent 35 minutes of game time pouting and waiting for an opportunity to frick up a put back dunk.

I like the chemistry we seem to have developed without him, but I can't deny that he makes us a better team when he has his head right. If he is allowed to come back, it needs to be with an extremely short leash. As in, one lazy possession on defense, and he's done for good.

I'm hoping Grant, Green, and Mitchell have a meeting tomorrow and them be at practice Monday.

I think if Mitchell comes back, he should be a bench player. Hopefully he'll have energy after the suspension and we could use him as a spark plug like we did Hillman last year. Then if he plays well, he could work his way back to being a starter.

This is all assuming he's let back on the team.
