This happened.

People are all "Alabama put up 500 yards on the best defense from last year" but it took them 101 plays to do it. On the flip side, Ole Miss went 433 yards on just 65 plays for a much better average.

Hell, I would hope that if your offense runs 100 plays, you put up 500 yards. In fact, I would put money on it that there has probably never been an offense in college football that has run 100 plays in a game and not topped 500 yards.

Congrats, Alabama. You just barely made it.

Also, ESPN's stats show that Alabama never had more than a 25% probability of winning the game which shows how dominated they really were. Most of their offense and points came against what was basically a prevent defense because it was a three score game.

It's a shame the narrative of this game has somehow been painted as "Alabama only lost by 6 on a fluke TD play!!" because they were really manhandled and dominated all night. Half their fans left in the 3rd quarter!!

How many plays do you need from the 31? Ags are "supposed" to be smart. Pretend.

How many rushing yards did OM have? Can't win the SEC without rushing yards

Exactly. That's why "Yards per play" is an average.

We turned the ball over 5 times and lost by 6. Serious domination.

Well yeah a team is probably not going to win a game if they turn it over 5 times in their own territory. Doesn't mean they were completely dominated though. OM did play better.

Of course Ole Miss played better. We had 5 turnovers. They had zero. That's your ballgame. How many teams have ever lost the turnover differential by 5 and won?

And your offense had a touchdown last year it shouldn't have had and another this year off an illegal tip on the onside kick.

Nah dude. Ole Miss didn't force those. Bama went to the line and handed it to our defense.

And Bama shouldn't have had that TD last year. Last year was more of domination than this year.

OM causing you to make 4 of the 5 turnovers and giving up 0 of their own is also a form of domination.

Again, you only actually put up points and yards against a prevent defense because they were up 3 scores.

How pitiful of you.

Meh. We dominated more this year I think. Bama got lucky to even get back in the game this year. Just my opinion.

Stop whining. Whether you forced the turnovers or not you got them and they won you the game. Congrats on the win.

I'll take that bet and probably find a counter example easily.

Lost the line of scrimmage and won. Walk away and never speak of this again.

140 yards on 2 plays, one was fluke, one was illegal. Remove and recalculate
