I started a post several weeks ago about this topic. You could see it all last year excluding 1/9. Even on 1/9, it wasn't necessarily Mccarron. It was the offense breaking every tendency, which led to open receivers.

AJ is an average QB. He's better than McElroy, but he's not as good as JPW. He's a game manager who only throws to wide open receivers. I have seen him throw open receivers with anticipation less than 5 times in 2 years.

Seriously I might have to add the "he folds" part from an LSU fan as my sig quote

I didn't think he was great against LSU overall by any means, but that last drive was the greatest "fold" of all time.

Pretty much common knowledge he is playing hurt and their bye week coming oct 6 before the meat of their schedule hasn't helped

True. However, Aggies have had played without a bye since they finally played their first game. Won't use the we were tired excuse.

I'm not sure why I bother posting serious threads on here.

I know he hurt his knee but that wouldn't necessarily hurt his accuracy. Did he have another injury?

JFF is as good as advertised, that's all.

Plus A&M's D wasn't getting the blogosphere respect it should have.

There was some kind of upper back issue, which at first looked like a shoulder problem.

I don't know if he's hurt fwiw. He had plenty of arm to overthrow Amari Cooper in the LSU game.

He was good. But I was more impressed by his linemen, tbh. They were advertised, but I discounted them too much. They were definitely as good as advertised.

Didn't he have a career high in passing yards tonight?

Take off your crimson glasses.

93 yards up until that point. LSU goes into super soft coverage. He dinks and dunks on this ridiculous coverage to the LSU 28 and then hits a screen pass for the one.

He came through on that drive but you know as well as I do LSU's retarded change in D was the difference.

Yeah...no reason to use the bye week excuse when A&M has been playing for however many weeks straight without a bye. AJ has been playing hurt since Mississippi State. It may be just a bruised shoulder but that is his throwing shoulder that's bruised. You can tell he hasn't had as much zip on the ball these last couple of weeks.

Maybe so. He still missed on a lot of throws.

He had a lot of wide open guys today.

Except they weren't in "super soft coverage."

Besides that super important point, I agree.

Oh they weren't? Just like they weren't at the end of the first half too?

Please tell me more...

For ATM it seems like JFF is getting better week by week and a bye would not have helped him

Mccarron's knee problem can't help his accuracy but it sure can hurt it.
