Has he ever had to play in any type of situation?

No, none of the situations he's played in were situational. We reserve such plays for situational players.

Can he move the chains on 3rd down with his arm?

You mean like throw the ball? He's ok.

quote:

Can he avoid the sacks he's gotten so far against lesser competition?

No, he can't avoid the past. But thankfully, the level of defense he faces this week drops a little.

I'm curious what he does when when we go from 4-3 to 3-4 in the same series

I'll bet he'll look stupified and say, "Holy shite, if only I had seen something like this except 1000X better in practice!"

We can only pray that he someday recovers from the embarrassment he suffers at the hands of the juggernaut that is Arky's defense.

I'm saying...has he proven himself as an SEC QB?

What is there to back it up?

I was pretty happy with how AJ played at Penn State. He seems to have good poise for a young QB and he has the arm to make any throw. He also does a really good job of passing to the open man. This season there are about 9-10 guys a game that are catching passes so he has done a good job of spreading it around. AJ has the potential to be one of the better QB's to play at Alabama IMO.

Every year, same crap. Ark opens up with cupcakes, their fans get cocky, reality sets in, pigs cry.

Texas, Southern Cal, Georgia, South Florida, Boise State are all cupcakes?

This is the first year we have not played a good to great team prior to playing Bama. Again, the SEC switched around our schedule and we were forced to fill the hole with a powder puff.

Not to mention the questions are just stupid.

I think for him to go into Happy Valley in his first true start (not splitting time) and have very little mistakes says a lot about him. So yeah, he will be fine. Especially against Arkansas' "defense".

I doubt you'll throw it 50 times to get 380 either.

It's not like McCarron will have to do much. As long as our defense plays as expected all he needs to do is not turn the ball over.

People are attacking our defense like it's 2009 or something. Crow will be eaten regarding Arkansas' defense at the end of this season.

The OP should be asking himself if Tyler Wilson is ready.
